Why We Like The Summit AmFib Lite Mountain Bike Pant

Built for the chilly days these Pearl Izumi Summit AmFib Lite Mountain Bike Pant don't leave our legs out to freeze during the winter months. We wear these pants while out on the fat bike trails during the winter, or for the occasional chilly weather commute. The regular fit makes them liner compatible while the cinched ankles take away any chance of drivetrain interference.

Pearl Izumi got this one wrong

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

The cut is simply wrong for cycling. Pearl Izumi is my go-to brand for cycling attire, and their tights alway fit me perfectly. So I assumed they'd get this one right too. The pants are too short, the hips are too baggy, and the crotch area is too loose. When returning to a seated position, the pants catch your saddle, unless you pull them up high, but that then exposes your ankles. The ankle cuffs, despite their beefiness, are quite loose as well. Was hoping these would be a good snow biking pant, but they just don't work. I'll say they "run small", in terms of length, but they "run large" in terms of width and bagginess.
