AmFib Lite Glove

For cooler weather rides that aren’t enough to chill to the bones, the Pearl Izumi AmFib Lite Glove is a cozy cave for sensitive digits. With 60 grams of Primaloft insulation under Pearl Izumi’s AmFib softshell fabrics, it’s 40 grams less insulation than the deep winter AmFib glove. The water and wind-resistant softshell blocks out uncomfortable elements while still creating a relaxed and unrestricted feeling of dexterity. A synthetic leather palm features no padding for enhanced bar-feel and provides ample grip for precise control in wet conditions.

Not nearly as warm as advertised

I've put it through the wringer

I've used these for an entire fall/winter/spring for commuting, and they are hardly warm at all. I found my fingers to be uncomfortably cold at anything below about 45F (7C), and they are unusable below 35F (2C). The rest of the hand is usually fine, but the fingers are downright miserable. Felt like I was getting frostbite.

Look nice, feel awful on the hand

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

There's very little to like about these gloves. They look nice sitting on a shelf. They work with a touchscreen. They will probably last a while. That's about it. On the hand, here's all that I found wrong -- - Internal seam between leather palm and other fabrics is very stiff & scratchy. The first time I slid them on, I actually took them off immediately thinking I had left some packing material in there. Nope. Just the terribly large and poky seam. - There is no give/stretch to the leather. On a palm, that's ok. Across the back of the knuckles? Not so much. They feel really tight there when you grip a handlebar - There is no pre-curvature to this glove. And given how it is constructed, this makes the glove unusable with any modicum of comfort when you actually use them, you know, on a bike! - They feel much cooler on the bike given the weight in hand. I wore them on a mid to high 40s ride and found my hands cold. In general, this is a hard pass. Not sure I can return them, but I sure will try.

They're OK.

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

They seem like a good, quality glove. They are windproof but with no insulation. I found them to be really uncomfortable on a long ride. After a couple hours, the fabric across the knuckles really started to be irritating. They are not as comfortable as the Gore Windstopper gloves they replace.
