My go to hiking pants
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I love these pants for hiking or just walking my dog around the neighborhood on cooler days. Comfortable, flexible, moves with me. Also works for lounging around after the hike. The fabric is warm and thick enough to not show the world what I'm working with (panty line still shows, but I don't care). The thigh pockets are great for keeping my phone easy to access for photos but also safely stowed when I need to put it away. I would say they are a bit long in the legs for me since the fabric bunches up around the ankles, but that doesn't really bother me. I have snagged one of the stitches, but no holes so far. I am 5'7" and about 125lbs and the small fits great. I would recommend this to everyone.
Tights, pants, leggings? Yes, all three!
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These pants are amazing! They have a smooth face, pleasantly soft on the inside, and tons of stretch. They bend and move with you without falling, slipping, or bunching. I have already used these while hiking, playing disc golf, and camping. Also under dresses, as tights, at formal events, and as leggings under a tunic length top, going out with friends. (I've even slept in them.) And they work for ALL of it!
Plus they have pockets!!! The pockets are also super stretchy, and seem to conform around the things I put in them, which means nothing falls out when sitting or lounging. The zippered pocket is perfect for my ID, credit card, and cash. And it hits my hip just right, where I don't even feel I have anything in there.
I have the grey and black pants. The grey ones seem to have a smoother face, but only slightly. The black ones have snagged already, but that was my fault; it seems they don't like some of my jewelry. But the snag is just a pick, not noticeable to anyone but me, and hasn't gotten worse with frequent washing or wearing.
As far as the fit goes, they are just above the ankle, slightly relaxed, a bit roomy, but not baggy. I'm not sure I could layer underneath them, without feeling constricted in the waist, but I most certainly could layer over them. I'm curious to see how these will work under a light snow pant this winter. I have long legs, a 33" inseam, and they fit mid-rise, with full back side coverage, even when bending over. And, like I said earlier, end about a half inch above my ankle.
I love these tights, pants, leggings. And wear them ALL the time.

I happened to be in our local Patagonia store, snooping on it all. I came across these amazing tights/leggings that had the most cool and urban look to them!
I tried these out in an XS and was disappointed in the looseness in the calfs but I'm a small girl so Patagonia is forgiven for now. I love these so much! I am wearing them today for the first time at work and getting a bunch of compliments.
The thing that really sold me on these would be the pockets they fit my giant phone and that is sometimes all a girl needs in life!
