    Versatility at its finest.

When worn on its own or under a shell, the Patagonia Women's Nano Puff Insulated Vest provides lightweight, compressible, and wind-resistant insulation for your cool-weather romps. The Nano Puff Vest features PrimaLoft Gold Eco insulation, which not only boasts a partially recycled constitution, but it also retains body heat with acute thermal efficiency. And unlike down, PrimaLoft Gold Eco maintains its insulating capacity when wet, which makes this vest an ideal choice when moisture may be factor.

Now, because of its synthetic insulation and moderate warmth-to-weight ratio, Nano Puff caters to a variety of activities, ranging from cold-weather trail runs to blustery days on the skill hill. A hardy, wind-resistant ripstop exterior deters grabby tree branches on the trail, and the DWR treatment is designed to handle light drizzle. A zipper garage protects your chin from chafing, and the brick quilting pattern prevents the insulation from settling and creating cold zones on your body. An internal chest pocket doubles as a self-stuff sack so you can easy store the Puff in your tote bag or daypack, while the two zippered hand pockets keep necessities close by.

    • A lightweight, Jane-of-All-Trades vest for daily use
    • Synthetic insulation keeps you warm, even when wet
    • DWR treatment sheds light moisture
    • Rugged, ripstop exterior is wind-resistant for added protection
    • Internal chest pocket doubles as a stuff sack

    Great layer!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: small

I have this vest in red it is very versitile. I wear this with a fleece under it under my ski jacket over it and it is the perfect thing to keep my core warm, but leave flexibility in my shoulders and arms inside the jacket. It is also super cute for daily wear! If you want a tight fit size down!!! I wish I would have got an extra small (however I have a small bust).

    Best Patagonia Vest

Awesome and warm Patagonia vest -- this is 2nd vest i have owned from Patagonia and i like the nano puff because of its functional and technical aspect. I can wear this to the office but also wear it skiing and hiking and it is a great midlayer. I would only say i wish it was a bit longer on my torso. For reference I am 5'5" and 135 lbs and got a size small which fits well!

I've had it for 5 years

This vest has lasted me 5 years - And I haven't worn it casually: I wear it everyday during the fall and winter as part of my normal ensemble , I wear it hiking, fishing, running, camping, skiing. Over sweatshirts, under zip-ups, I really like the vest. It shows very light wear at the seams and a few tiny holes from fish hooks. The only reason I am replacing it after 5 years is that it seems to have lost a little warmthy loft...However, it could also just be me wanting to have two of them. Have I tried other vests you ask? I have, and I returned them.

    Perfect for Fall..

And even better for the winter chill! This vest is such high quality and slim enough to layer under without getting all bulky. It's cute and slim and It can squish into any day bag! Highly recommend. The Small was a bit tight, might go for a medium next time.

    Everything I Wanted

When it comes to down I love Patagonia because of their sustainable practices and comfort. I've never had a bad experience with them before and the Nano Puff Vest is no exception. It fits perfectly, is outstandingly warm, and looks decently flattering (as much as a puffy can). I ordered a small, and it fits true to size. It packs down small and can fit inside tight spaces so it's easy to carry around for when you might need to layer later.

Exactly what you want it to be

This vest is extremely versatile and warm considering how small it packs down. I wear it touring regularly because it breathes well and provides a great layer of warmth to keep in your pack.

      Small and warm`

      • Size Bought: Large
      • Height: 5'6"
      • Weight: 170lbs

I love the warmth this offers with how thin it is! The biggest downfall is that the sleeve cuff is a little tight on my shoulder but not enough to be too uncomfortable. I got the galah green color and love it!

      returning, grey prefer black

      • Size Bought: xl
      • Height: 5'5"
      • Weight: 155lbs

The grey is a beautiful color, but because the fit is too loose in the waist I look heavier in the gray compared to the black.
Will keep the black one. Large bust but my waist is not

      My Favorite Layer

I love this vest! It works double duty, for activities like backcountry skiing and running, or for just casual use. The Nano-Puff fabric provides the perfect insulation for spring days and breaths fairly well. Having three pockets is also great. The fit is a bit boxier, as most Patagonia seems to run. Otherwise, runs true to size. This is my second nano-puff vest and I have found they are very durable for years of abuse.

      Great vest!

Got this vest for my wife and she loves it. It is great for when she doesn't want to wear her full nano puff jacket. This vest is light weight but also warm. It goes great with all of her causal outfits but is also a functional piece when we are hiking.

        Best Vest for Backcountry Skinning

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
        • Fit: True to size
        • Size Bought: S
        • Height: 5'2"
        • Weight: 100lbs

My daughter loves backcountry skinning and skis 45 days a winter with her ski mountaineering group. This is her favorite piece of gear! Great for layering/warmth, wicks sweat so keeps her dry, very light and easy to compress/stow, minimum bulk under her shell, very durable in the brush and when hiking with skis. Worth every penny!

        best vest ever!!

        • Size Bought: XL
        • Height: 5'3"

I have several down vests but they are going to be donated because this one is the best! It's amazingly warm for as lightweight as it is. I wear it for outerwear in mild weather and in my office at work when the lades turn the a/c down! I love this!

Lovely, but not the right fit.

        • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
        • Size Bought: Small and Medium
        • Height: 5'9"
        • Weight: 135lbs

I'm tall and slender, so Patagonia (sadly) tends to look a little boxy on me. The Nano Puff fabric is sleek, smooth, and surprisingly warm, but the cut of the vest is such that a small is fitted but too short, and a medium is boxy/wide/baggy but a more reasonable length. I've found that the Arc'teryx Atom Vest is a much better cut for tall gals like myself.

        My family gift go-to!

        • Height: 5'5"

I've bought this vest for my husband, sister, and now my mom. And, of course, I have one too! Everyone loves them! So warm, but not bulky at all. I think they run a bit loose so I size down in them. Fantastic quality, and so cute. I'm sure this won't be my last nano puff purchase. :)

        A layering staple.

I wear this vest for just about everything. Come winter, I'm cold - all the time, so a vest provides just-enough extra warmth without bogging me down. The Nano Puff is lightweight and I barely notice that I'm wearing it. I have a few other Patagonia vests, but the Nano Puff was actually my first and totally set the standard for subtle warmth and comfort.

The synthetic insulation keeps me warm—even when wet, so I'm able to wear this vest on its own in inclement weather or layer it underneath a hard shell when the conditions call for it. I do don it casually as well, mostly because the warmth is so subtle and comfortable that it's hard not to rationalize wearing it all the time. The two hand pockets keep small necessities close, and the drawcord hem allows me to seal in warmth should I need to. I purchased the black and after 3 years of solid wear and tear, it still looks brand new. Also, I have dogs, so I'm constantly being bombarded by muddy paws and dog drool, which the vest has withstood ceaselessly.

As for the fit, I picked up an Small because I wanted to have the option to layer underneath it should I desire. Typically, to achieve a more form fitting look, I wear an XS, but do wear a Small when I want more wiggle room.

Bottom line: this vest set the stage for my current love affair with vests, and I'm sure it will do the same for you!
