    Simplified for service.

For years, suspension service centers and bike shops have ground down sockets to remove the lead in or chamfer for less rocking and a more positive connection with the fork's top caps during service. This lessens the chance of the tool rocking and prevents rounding the soft aluminum caps and damage to the fork's crown. Park Tool eliminates this task by providing suspension specific sockets for maintenance and tuning designed for a precise fit. The Flat-Faced Socket Set - SKT-6 is a shop quality set of six flat-faced sockets designed to fit common suspension fork top caps. The 3/8in drive is perfect for use with Park Tool Torque Wrenches, ensuring the proper tightening torque, or any rachet or breaker bar. Sockets are forged from tough chrome vanadium steel and chrome plated for durability and long life. The set includes 24, 26, 27, 28, 30, and 32mm flat-faced sockets and the 27mm socket is tapered for better access on Suntour suspension forks.

    • Maintain and adjust suspension forks with the right tools

Not much to say about this, but you do want the specific socket when working on your fork or you have a good chance of stripping out the very narrow fork top.
