Why We Like The Foray Pant
A chance of rain isn't a deterrent when you have the Outdoor Research Men's Foray Pants in your pack. The GORE-TEX Paclite 2L membrane makes them super lightweight and exceptionally packable, and the pocket turns into a stuff sack so you never have an excuse to leave them behind. If the weather goes from sunny to rainy in an instant, the 3/4-length side zippers make it easy to slide them on without fully undressing on the trail, and you won't feel restricted when you're striding along in the rain thanks to the articulated knees and gusseted crotch.

Insanely long inseam
Ordered a short version and was still around 32in inseam. I could only imagine how long the regular version is, based on other reviews. I can confirm what others are stating in terms of length. Otherwise, pants work well in the rain!

Fit well very functional.
These pants are my go to for Search and Rescue. They can go on over any pants you are wearing or stand alone with a liner. They can vent well when needed as well.

Great pant - sizing totally off
The sizing runs about 1.5x large. I'm a 6 foot tall male with slightly longer legs. I purchased a medium sized pant, and the length runs down to and beneath my heel by two inches. These fall somewhere between L/XL. I got these about two days before a long hike, so I won't have time to replace them, talk about frustrating. Apart from the poor sizing, the pant is truly excellent. The 3/4 side zipper is for a serious outdoor winter hiker, you can take these on and off without taking your shoes off. They block water and wind. The insulation is nil but these pants are a wind/water barrier first and insulation as an after thought. Pair them with one or two base layers and you're good.

Sizing is inscrutable
I'm 6'1", 200 lbs, with a 33.5-inch waist, measured around the narrowest part of my torso, and a 34.5" cycling inseam (measured from pelvic bone to floor, barefoot). Every pair of pants I own is a 34/32, with the exception of a few pairs in SML sizing, in which I always wear a Large. For these, I bought the Large in standard length, and they are basically unwearable--at least two inches long in the inseam, with fabric dragging on the ground even in shoes, and about the same in the waist. The quality seems great, so I will return and exchange for either a Medium or a Large with the short inseam, but still--really, really poor sizing.

Waterproof, but sizing isn't great for me
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hiked wearing these through some rainy weather and stayed perfectly dry. Side zips are definitely long enough to put on and take off without removing boots (I wouldn't recommend with crampons though). Two issues I have: - I have a 31" waist, and the small was way too tight in the thighs, and the medium is very loose and billowy (over pants). Went with a medium and it gets the job done. The elastic waistband doesn't cinch quite as securely as I'd like so it feels like they might start sagging. - Would be nice if there were cinches at the ankles too

Foray Gore-Tex Pants
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Coupled with the Foray jacket, this is the best system I've found to stay nice and dry. Their construction allow for easy temperature management in all seasons.

Drawstring Busted Day 3
Loved the full zipped pant leg, the weight and fit. Drawstring was of poor quality and have turned in a warranty claim for them. Hope it's an isolated case, looking forward to a good experience with OR customer service.

Exactly what you want from rain pants
These are my go-to backpacking and all around adventure rain pants. Gore-Tex is of course fantastic and OR built these guys really well. Room where you need them to have it without feeling baggy!

Great design
Love that it zips up all the way to the top, easy to put on and off without having to take boots off.

Super Pumped
Wore them for a pressure washing job when it was 45 degrees. Also wore them in the Northwoods while foraging for Morels. Top notch product!
