Why We Like The Foray Pant

A chance of rain isn't a deterrent when you have the Outdoor Research Men's Foray Pants in your pack. The GORE-TEX Paclite 2L membrane makes them super lightweight and exceptionally packable, and the pocket turns into a stuff sack so you never have an excuse to leave them behind. If the weather goes from sunny to rainy in an instant, the 3/4-length side zippers make it easy to slide them on without fully undressing on the trail, and you won't feel restricted when you're striding along in the rain thanks to the articulated knees and gusseted crotch.

OR goretex pants

The only thing I wish is that they had belt loops. Still an amazing piece of cat easy to get on and good quality.

NO FRONT POCKETS

Great pants but NO POCKETS except for one in the back is absolutely ridiculous. In what world are we living in where pants don’t come with front pockets. Super disappointing. No advertisement about this or photos showing that there is none. Would of reconsidered if I knew this

I keep buying these… on my third pair now

Waterproof but not too stiff or bulky. They roll up nice and light and I never have to think about throwing them in my pack “just in case” it rains. Very good goretex but the durability is a bit questionable. I tend to rip them on sticks and branches. But I suppose that is the trade off on getting something lightweight and comfortable. I’m on my third pair of these in five years but I will be buying another one once I’ve worn these ones out.

Great Light Weight Rain Pants

I wore these rain pants on a 4 day hunting trip in November. It rained 3 out of the 4 days. These pants kept me dry the whole time. I love the packability with being able to stuff them into the back pocket. When stuffed, these pants are roughly the size of a 32 oz Nalgene water bottle. With this feature, I end up carrying these pants in my day pack for surprise weather. The one thing I wish is that there was a little more stretch for stepping over logs while hiking through the woods.

Amazing

I bought the pants and jacket about a year or two ago. I've used them lightly here and there. Last night, I was at the Packers/Lions game in Green Bay where it rained the entire day... tailgating, during the game, after the game... about 6 hours of a steady rain. This suit was easy to move in, the vents allowed it to breathe, and most importantly I was bone dry... cannot recommend these enough.

Good look and Light, but the size is off

The pants look and feel the right size. Im 210, 6'3" and originally ordered the reg length. These however were way to long. I sent them back and re ordered the xl short size which fit alot better. The quality of the pants is good however Ive yet to use them. Can update when i take them hiking this summer.

Used these recently for a 8 day canoe trip in the Bowron Lakes in Canada. Rained every day but stayed perfectly dry and comfortable because of these pants. Fit was perfect for activities around camp.

Great rain pants!

Very happy with my decision to purchase the Foray Gore-Tex rain pants. They are lightweight, packable, and keep you dry. I am 5'11" tall with a 31" inseam, and the M short fits me well. Zippered legs and ankle elastic are great features.

Goretex Foray Pants Review

Overall a very good product. Amazing for rainy weather and walking through tall wet grass. 2 things I wish were different: 1 - I wish the elastic cuffs on ankles were tighter (not a big deal) 2 - I wish there were pocket zippers so i could access my pockets on my pants inside

Insanely long inseam

Ordered a short version and was still around 32in inseam. I could only imagine how long the regular version is, based on other reviews. I can confirm what others are stating in terms of length. Otherwise, pants work well in the rain!
