One order of short and sweet please.

Built for chasing light up and over steeps, the Osprey Women's Verve 3 Hydration Pack is fortified with just enough room for snacks and supplies—ultimately enabling you to work up your post-ride appetite. After all, the last time you called up the corner Chinese food spot ravenous after a bike ride, you accidentally asked for "short and sweet chicken," which was mostly indicative of your ride but laughable all the same. Designed to be worn while in an upright or position, the Verve 3 is outfitted with a foam framesheet that disperses your load across the ventilated mesh backpanel while the BioStretch shoulder harness ensures a women-specific and contoured fit. Additionally, the webbing hip belt is removable should you desire to shave off some ounces and the top compression straps offer load stabilization. The included 2.5-liter Hydraulics Reservoir is fashioned with a magnetic bite valve that mates with the sternum buckle to keep the hose secure when you're bouncing around the trail. Not to mention, the pack has holding capacity for a few energy chews and an extra emergency layer for when you need it the most and the LidLock keeps your helmet close at hand when its not in use.

    Good Pack, Bad Hydration Bladder

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I love the pack. It's a perfect size for a day hike and very comfortable. I fit my phone, snack or two, a charger, and a softshell jacket is easy to tuck/hang. The bladder itself leaves something to be desired. I've only had Camelbacks and they are fairly easy to fill. This one has a clip that slides and fills like a drink pouch would. The only thing I really like about the bladder is that the bite valve has a magnet that clips it next to your chest. I put in my Camelback bladder in it, but it doesn't fit perfectly and the drinking tube hangs. This may just be something I have to get used go.

    What An Upgrade!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I used to have a 1.5L Camelbak that just wasn't cutting it. I wanted to upgrade and was ready to try something new. Came across this Osprey pack and fell in love! I've taken it on a few day hike since purchasing it and it does everything I need and more. Also great for biking with it's LidLock helmet attachment.

    Only what you need!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The Verve 3 gives you the room for a full reservoir, a bar and a shell for emergencies - it's such a great minimalist pack! If you want more room for carrying tools, go up to the Verve 9. Great fitting bike pack for women. Happy Trails!

    Osprey Rep

    Works perfectly!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Bought this so I wouldn't have to carry water bottles on hikes and trail runs, and it definitely serves its purpose for hands-free hydration, but I also appreciate that I now have a place to carry keys/phone/extra layers/protein bars/whatever without having to stuff them all in various pockets. The overall size is good, not too large or bulky, and I like the magnet on the shoulder that holds the mouthpiece in place.

Is the option without the reservoir available? I have a reservoir already and do not want to waste additional thing that I do not need.
