When guided tours aren't on the itinerary.
When the kind of trips you prefer consist of bus rides shared with live chickens, ferry trips across pristine bays, rainforest hikes, and maybe a bit of hitchhiking, rely on the Osprey Farpoint 80 Backpack to get your gear to your destination in one piece. Its carefully considered design makes the Farpoint an ideal companion for the off-the-beaten-path traveler, while the pack's simple and streamlined looks makes it great for more urban adventures.
The Farpoint 80 has a panel-access design, meaning clothes and luggage can be easily accessed through the large zippered opening and a large secondary compartment can be used to store additional gear. The zippers on the main compartment can be locked for extra security when your travels take you far from tour guides and busy hotels, and the shoulder straps, hip belt, and back panel can all be stowed away whether you're checking the bag for the long transatlantic flight back home or trying to fit it onto a train going from Prague to Budapest.

Has taken me around the world with ease
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I've used my Farpoint for many years for International and Domestic travel and it's still going strong. The hideaway backpack straps are great for checking it and it converts back to a backpack quickly and easily. The internal frame helps it keep its shape and, along with the hip belt, makes carrying even heavy loads comfortable.
The 70 and 55 also come with a detachable daypack. The 80 has loops to anchor an optional Osprey Daylite daypack.
