Heel pops out despite being correct size

I returned this product before using it

The shoes bend directly on top of my big toe and my heel pops completely out the back with each step. (I've never experienced a sneaker that lets my heel pop.) It's a bad set of blisters waiting to happen. Breaking them in will not solve the problem for a long time. I have narrow feet. The shoes were the correct width. The shoes look great and the fabric seems durable. I'll be sticking with La Sportiva.

Defective on Round 1

I’m a dog walker and wanted a waterproof shoe that could keep up with me before I switched to boots. First of all, I LOVE the fit of these shoes! If I could sleep in them I would. The moment I put them on I wore them every day and they made a huge difference in my stride and reduced foot/back pain. Side Note: purchased 11/18/20 (this will be useful in the review). So slowly going in to December we were getting light rain and I was SO pumped to wear my Cloudventure shoes instead of my cumbersome boots!! Throughout the day my feet felt a little damp but I assumed it was due to sweaty feet from waterproof non-breathable shoes. So I tried wearing thinner socks but then my feet were still damp and cold. Snow came so I had to switch to boots. Mid January we had a break and I broke out my beloved Cloudventures!! Went out to walk my dog on packed snow that came up slightly above the sole and here we go again!! Came home & kicked my shoes off, there may have been some foul language involved. The footbeds of both shoes were damp and again I had pruney toes. So now we’re mid February but my Clouds are under warranty so I contacted On Running. Why would you not contact the manufacturer after 90 days for defective shoes?? And come on, it’s the Swiss, isn’t this their counties thing? We’re better then everyone else especially warranties so BOOM taken care of! Ahhhh no. I bought them from a 3rd party retailer so even though I filled out my warranty card and I mailed it to them and I get all their emails, they will not warranty my shoes. So I contact Backcountry and to my surprise they warranty On Running!! My claim is under review and I’m fairly optimistic my beloved Cloudventures will be replaced. I do love my shoes and do want the same pair sans leak. However my poor review is that sadly I’ve heard from friends about their defective Clouds and having to go through the exchange process. Out of all the shoes I tried until I chose them, they just didn’t feel as good but I chose Cloud for reviews and warranty. I’m just happy I purchased them through Backcountry who is able to work with me.

The Best

Runs small

Honestly don't have enough good things to say about these shoes! The out of the box fit was amazing & I had no issue breaking them in - blister free!! After reading reviews, I decided to size up a 1/2 size which was the right choice. These ones seem to run a bit smaller and stiffer than the non-waterproof Cloudventure counterpart. These are amazing trail shoes with the perfect amount of support and stability without feeling clunky. Not to mention they're arguably the best looking trail running shoe out there :)

super awesome shoe

I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I gave these as a gift and this was the feedback I got for them. "I don’t have especially narrow feet and these fit great. Super awesome shoe. The running pair I have are awesome and light and these ones felt so stable hiking."

Functional and beautiful

I've used it several times

After using these shoes a handful of times, I'm very pleased with their high-quality construction, traction, and waterproof upper. They are a little stiff, so I think the fit may be tough on wider feet. I'm excited to take these trail running in the spring!

ON Cloudventure waterproof trail running

Love love the sole!!!! But the fabric on top is so rigid and stiff that it rubs against top of toe joints while walking and hiking. Causing pain around top of foot toe joints.
