This is one of the warmest jackets short of only those with $1,000+ price tags made for Everest. I always run cold so hanging outside after a day in the snow, just was never quite enjoyable for me - until now. Post ski tour enjoying a beer at the trailhead? Throw it on. Strolling around Whistler after a day on the hill? Throw it on. Casually cruising groomers on a cold day? Throw it on. Need to walk the dog and it's -20? Throw it on. You'll instantly be the coziest you've ever been in your life. Don't forget, it's decked out with features like elastic cuffs, multiple external and internal pockets including a dump pocket, a draw string hoodie, felt chin/ beard guard and extremely durable face fabric. I'm 5' 11" 165 with slightly above average broadness. The medium felt a tad bit small in the back and shoulders, and I wanted unrestrictive range of motion, so I sized up. I do look a bit like a marshmallow, but who cares - I'm so warm and cozy when I have this thing on. If I didn't care about range of motion as much and wanted something that looked a bit more 'neat' a medium would have been perfect. I don't remember there being a noticeable difference in length between the two. If you needed something a bit more technical, like with a belay button or lighter/packable, there might be some better options from Rab, but if warmth, durability, features, and affordability (compared to Everest jackets) are your main priorities, this jacket is for you!
