Why We Like The Fresh Foam Hierro V7 Running Shoe
When we heard New Balance made the Fresh Foam Hierro V7 Running Shoe, we were curious how it compared to previous versions of the Hierro. This updated release has the same gripping outsole and responsive midsole as its predecessors. The difference is the upper, which is lower in weight and higher in durability, thanks to the water-repellent mesh.

Fab trainers
Super comfy, I went up half a size as I usually do in New Balance. Really nice looks and had compliments on them. Quite a rolling gait if you like that for walking. For long distances I’d personally choose something a little firmer but these are great around town.

Yes, definitely recommend!
Stylish and comfy! After being on my feet for 10 hour days, my feet don’t hurt. I did add a plantar fasciitis insole which made it extra comfy. Very bouncy, too. Thanks NB! 🏃🏽♀️

Stylish and Comfy
Ordered my usual size and they are perfect! Comfy, though I did add a plantar fasciitis insole, which is much better. Very bouncy! No pain after being on my feet for 10 hours. Thanks NB!

Best lightweight trail shoes
Best version of this shoe model by far. Comfortable, well made, breathable mesh but rocks dont get into my shoes. I trail run every day and I buy a new pair of the Hierro every year. I got the perfect from a sales person at my local new balance. I've never had blisters per recommendation of better fit shoes and non-cotton socks. Difference maker by far..

Not worth it
Gave me so many blisters. I own several pairs of Fresh Foam and bought the same size as my tennis shoes, they were way too tight.

Super awesome
These shoes are great for every day off road use and for looking cool and adventurous at the local cafe! I bought them for camping weekends so I can explore without having to worry about grip. They have been tested just once but I'm very happy with the performance. I love the retro look too. It's worth noting that I am often between sizes 9-10 and for this particular shoe, I purchased a size 9 after trying a few different sizes. Size 9 is perfect for this shoe (noting I have other New Balance shoes in size 9.5).

I like them but I don't love them
I wear these shoes almost every day when I am working indoors, and daily on the weekends and to the gym. After several hours being in the shoes my feet begin to ache. The thing I least like about them is how the laces do not have a place to string through the middle of the tongue. By not having this and the way the laces are threaded it looks like you foot is puffing through the top of the tongue. I do not like this appearance at all. I thought these were going to be like my other trail shoes that I have bought from NB but I was wrong. 4 stars is being generous.
