Why We Like The NEMO Tensor All-Season Sleeping Pad
NEMO expands the Tensor series with the new All-Season Sleeping Pad, bringing ultralight warmth and comfort to every season. The Thermal Mirror metalized film reflects our body heat back to us, keeping the ground from sapping our warmth on frigid winter expeditions. Spaceframe Baffles offer incredible stability, easily distributing our weight across the entire pad to minimize low spots that may be more susceptible to cold. The pad maintains a compact pack size and ultralight weight, so we can pack along a few extra layers or our favorite campsite game every time we hit the trails.

Comfy but slippery
I found the comfort pretty decent but I kept sliding off the pad when I turned over in my sleep. Maybe a bad combination with my Klymit sleeping bag fabric?

Best all around pad out there
At 6.2 the long and wide size Tensor works great for me. The pad packs up small and is very light weight for the R rating. If the pad is under inflated the inner mylar layers can make crinkle sounds but if you have the pad inflated properly, you shouldn't have any issues with the sound. So far, the Tensor has been durable, but I've only had it on a handful of trips. As for comfort, I get a good night sleep. The thickness works great for side sleepers, my hips never feel the ground. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a great all around pad thats ready for any adventure.

Single Best Pad Money Can Buy
Absolutely love the Tensor All-Season Pad! For the price, weight, R-Value, quality, and comfort it can’t be beat. It’s the only pad that does all of these well that I’ve found. Other pads do some of these things well but not all at the same time like the Tensor. I also like how small it packs down. I can’t buy multiple pads for all the seasons so this is perfect because it is great no matter the time of year.

Comfortable and durable
I've used this pad for over a year and love how durable it is. It inflates quick too, which is nice. After using it during a thru-hike across the Sonoran Desert, it absolutely came into contact with some cactus and somehow I have not had to patch it or anything. So that's pretty awesome and definitely a testament to the quality I'd say. With many other brands, I've dealt with valve issues. That has not happened with this. So yay! I definitely recommend it.

Convenient, light, we’ll built
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I have yet to camp with it, but my trial run was a success. Loved the bag to rapidly inflate the pad, and the pad was much quieter than my light weight therm o rest

Durable and Comfortable
I've used this pad in Alaska, on the Colorado Trail, and in Arizona while thru-hiking and backpacking with my dogs. It has held up great to everyday use and a big German Shepherd Dog trying to steal it.

Good, not great
As a long-time owner of an old (narrow) Thermarest X-Therm, I grew tired of the noise of the thing (as did my neighbours). Buying an All-Season Tensor (long, wide) gave me the chance to directly compare the two side-by-side. There is considerable hype online about the 'silence' of the Tensor – in my view, it's only marginally quieter than my old X-Therm. So if you're thinking of buying one of these in anticipation of quiet nights, you'll be disappointed. It's slightly more comfortable than the X-Therm, thanks to the thicker section and the fact that it has another 100mm of width (this, incidentally, is a good reason for side sleepers to go to a wide pad – you can draw your knees up and not roll off the back of the pad). You pay for it in ounces, of course – the Tensor is the heavier of the two – but in my view, it's worth it.

Best available, but...
I've used just about every brand of sleeping pad on the market, and these newer Tensor pads are my favorite. Quite lightweight given the R-values, and small to pack. Durability has been great, and most importantly, the comfort is spot on. Other pads that have the baffles runnings all in one direction don't do it, either they're soft on the side and you roll off too easy, or thy bounce around and curl on you. The Tensor doesn't have either of those issues. Also very quiet. My only items for improvement is that the tops of these should all be black or dark charcoal colored. Reason being with more people using quilts and having direct skin contact with the top surface, the sweat and grime really begins to build up and show nasty wear after a bit. Black will hide it so they look newer/cleaner longer. Also, Nemo really need to offer a Regular Wide Mummy in these. Too many of the rectangle shape ones keep too much weight on for lightweight backpacking use.

All around pretty good
I have had my Tensor for a year now and I love the thickness and quietness of it. However, there are a few things to mention. One of my biggest gear regrets is not getting the wide version. While the regular version saves some weight, it really does sacrifice some comfort. If you are a back sleeper, it is not wide enough for both arms to rest on the pad. Don't be like me, the extra width is worth the extra weight. Another thing I have noticed is that it is prone to pinprick leaks. I have gotten a few but they patched up great and haven't had any recent issues.

Great but not durable!
I bought the Tensor All-Season for it being quieter than the other pads I have tried. And it is! However, I was worried about durability and it does seem thiner than other brands. On the 5th night of usage, and only when car camping (thank goodness I never brought it on a multi day into the back country), it had a small leak that I could not find in the middle of the night so I slept on the ground. It was also before a big trail run (34+ miles) :( My other pads have been going strong for two seasons and I wish I brought them as a back-up.

hello, For the isolated version, on the US site, the R-VALUE is 4.2 while the EU site is 3.5 for the same weight. Is it a mistake ? What is the correct value? Thank you for your answers.
February 23, 2022
Hi, I had asked how the durability of the new fabric compares to the old, but my question disappeared without being answered. I am asking due to durability issues I experienced with past tensor iterations, but would be interested if this were improved.

Thanks for upping the R-value of the new insulated wide to 4.2! It might eliminate the need for me to carry an additional foam pad in winter. Same ? re: new one: Is the website wrong about the width of the new insulated wide being only 20”?
