Need a bigger size
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Size Bought:
- Twin/single
My order turned out to be fully functional but it is just not wide enough for me. I am going to need to get a new mattress pad that is wider. It's a shame that I am past the returns date, otherwise I would have gladly exchanged. Used it 2 times before I decided it was just too thin side to side

Regular too narrow
Comfortable, keeps you off the ground, long enough (but in only 5'6"), but NOT wide enough. I invariably fall off one side or the other.

NEBO 3D Sleeping bag
The mattress itself is very nice. Used on the famous RAGBRAI bicycle adventure in Iowa and slept well. The accompanying filler bag was useless. Popped on the second, literally, second bag full of air. Bring an electric or pedal pump.

Happy Camper.
Wow we have come a long way from foam sleeping pads for those who want comfort and need to carry light. This is a great sleeping pad. I’m not light, but it holds me well and I don’t bottom out. I love the options for size and insulation. Went with the wide non-insulated. Im bike touring Nova Scotia and so far it’s been a great choice. A few things I’d like: more curvature on the sides for us side sleepers. There’s some but more would be better. And to be very fussy, I’d like to chose what side to inflate it from.

WOW!!!
I love everything about this pad - I'm reviewing the Long / Insulated version. I really can't say enough about it... super comfortable, quiet, and no more slipping off the pad. I've slowly been refining my camping sleep rig.. and this is the finishing touch! WELL DONE NEMO!!

Great pad!
Have only used the pad 6-7 times so far but there are several pros. Super easy to inflate, holds air overnight even in chilly temps, and packs away very nicely.

Superb comfort that fits in any pack
This is hands-down the most comfortable sleeping pad I’ve ever owned or laid down on. The 3D contouring of the pad does contribute noticeably to comfort, and is thoughtfully designed. There are slightly larger baffles to lay your head on, while a shallow depression in the torso/hip area keeps you centered on the pad. Towards the foot end the contouring flattens out, presumably to let your feet fall wherever is most comfortable. Included pump sack takes a bit of practice but functions well and is a nice touch. The storage sack for the pad includes a mini repair kit too. So, how’s it sleep? Coming from other pads, I tended to inflate this one pretty firm, and while it was still more comfy than the average pad, it wasn’t the cloud dream I hoped for. The magic happens when you use the micro-adjust valve to deflate this thing just a little bit (while you’re laying on it!) until you can feel your whole body sink into it slightly. At that point, prepare for the best night of sleep you’ve ever had on an uneven, rocky patch of ground. A few more notes: -this pad isn’t too noisy! Don’t expect utter silence, but it is significantly quieter than other ultralight air pads I’ve had. -the material is quite soft on your skin, and I’d be happy sleeping on it without a pillow, but this soft material also seems difficult to clean and prone to absorbing things like oils. Over time I’m curious how dirty this top fabric might get; for now I make sure to use a pillow or cover the head baffles with a camping towel. -I purchased the WIDE version of this pad, and I’m glad I did (it’s so roomy!), but note that most “2-person” backpacking tents will NOT accommodate two wide pads. Prepare to feel like terrible sleeping partner when you realize your mat takes up 70% of the tent floor space.

Envy of all my trailmates!
Recently used on 5-night AT section hike. Slept like I would at home. When awakened would have to remind myself I was not in my own bed.

Most comfortable pad I’ve owned!
This is the single best camping equipment upgrade that I’ve done. This sleeping pad is SO comfortable and not deflate through the night. Also, as a bike packer, it’s amazing to have such a comfortable pad that packs down to such a small size. Thank you Nemo- another amazing product.

What is the best way to store the Quasar 3D Spleeping pad for a long period? Packed or unpacked? Open-valve?

Does Quasar have 2 layers of suspended Thermal Mirror™ metalized film as Tensor does? How about the crunching noise compared with Tensor? Besides, does the double size have such cradling support since I find that it is not curved in the middle

I’ve noticed some of the new air matts make a rustling plastic doing like scrunching plastic bags when people roll or move on them. Are the Nemo matts noise conscious? Do they make a plastic scratchy noise when rolling on it?

Hi Nemo, will the quasar 3d double sleeping pad work with the Jazz Duo sleeping bag (not luxury) or is it too big?

Is there a trick to deflating this pad? it seems to be a real challenge. When I roll it up, it’s like the air gets trapped and then suddenly makes whistling and squeaking sounds as the air moves around inside the pad as you try to roll it.
