Sleep like a backcountry princess (or prince).

Despite your best efforts, a zipper and buckle-covered backpack makes for a poor camp pillow and a sore neck. Give your skull the comfort it deserves with the plush and packable Nemo Equipment Fillo Luxury Pillow. The combination of inflatable baffles, memory foam, and a super soft microsuede pillow cover will fool your dream-filled head into thinking you're snoozing in the comfort of your own bed.

Definitely a luxury item... that I love.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

A good pillow can really be a game-changer when the weather takes a turn in the wrong direction on a hike. This pillow takes up a bit more space and weighs a bit more than some others that are out there, but it sure is comfortable. I'm not sure what the last person was talking about with the valve, but I had no problems with inflating it to different levels for comfortable side, back, or stomach sleeping. This is one luxury item that I won't camp without, it even rivals my Tempurpedic pillow at home...

    Not impressed

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I wanted to like this pillow but couldn’t. The inflation valve feels plasticky to lock/unlock. This makes it difficult to inflate a large amount of air into the pillow, even though the pillow itself can accommodate the air the valve doesn’t allow inflation past a certain volume which does not result in adequate puff for side sleepers. The stuff sack is finicky to use and I don’t understand the function of compression straps at the back of the pillow, if it’s suppose to reduce slippage on sleeping bags it does not work adequately.

    So far so good

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Got this as a gift after the dog chewed up my old one. This is a little bigger than what i previously had so i was a little worried about the packing size, but it compresses nicely and feels nice to lay on.

    Camping game-changer

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is the perfect camping pillow for minimizing space while having a great night's rest on the road! Packs down super small but does not skimp on quality. The foam insert is great and you can adjust the air-fill to your personal preference of support. BUY BUY BUY!!

    Best camping pillow hands down

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I have tried many pillows before this and they were either too small or were an awkward material to sleep on. This pillow is super soft due to the microsuede, and it has a bit of memory foam which makes it super comfortable. It can be a bit tricky to pack into the stuff sack at first so I posted a link below to help show you how to pack it!

    Best I've tried

Bought three camp pillows and this is the one I liked best. Side sleepers rejoice! Big enough to not hurt your neck, but still okay for back and stomach sleeping. Packs down pretty small.

I was quite pleased when I received my NEMO Fillo pillow, the size was just right. The microfiber on the outside makes it soft to the touch and quiet. I am a hammock camper and even though I start out on my back, I eventually end up on my side, the pillow is a great addition to my gear. Wouldn't want to sleep without it. Couldn't get it in the attached stuff sack so I fold lengthways and roll it up and use the included Velcro strap. It takes up very little space and weighs practically nothing.

      Side/stomach sleepers rejoice!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've only had a few trips under my belt with this pillow but I already ABSOLUTELY love it! The longer shape makes it easy to tuck my arms underneath when sleeping on my stomach and it has plenty of firmness for side sleeping. I got the luxury version intended for car camping butt it's so comfy I'll be backpacking with it, definitely worth the weight in my opinion for a good nights sleep.

Really only good for solo trips

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Be warned - If you're cohabitating a tent, your partner(man, woman, or dog) will certainly try and steal this thing. I guess you could get two, if you really needed to? But then you won't have that feeling of superiority you get when you puff 6-8 times into this microsuede dream machine while the rest of camp grumpily crams sweat pants and down vests into stuff sacks before bedtime. Honestly it's like what I imagine the rich kid in high school felt like when pulling into the stadium parking lot for the homecoming game in his parent's brand new Cadillac Escalade(sidenote - do they still make those? Dang they were popular with the rappers in the early 2000s). This thing is all luxury and technically sound. Light, packs down small, doesn't squeak, easy to inflate, and SUPER comfy. I imagine the air/foam combo probably has a lot to do with the lack of sound, and if that's the case how much longer until we see foam/air combo everything? Sleeping pads, neighbor's chihuahua, mother-in-laws, first dates, teenagers at the movie theater, presidential primary candidates... NEMO could really be on to something here.

Really only good for solo trips

Too bad it doesn't lift to 8" (rather than the 4") for a comfortable side-sleep. I sleep on my side and my head would just drop down making a poor posture position. Wonder if they make this with more loft? If so, what company could match this pillow and still allow it to shrink down to a small size?

@Cyclingmasterseller I'm a side sleeper most of the night and have no issues in the morning or while sleeping, so I feel like the lift is fine. That being said, I don't have particularly broad shoulders so if you find yourself needing to prop up more I'd find something solid in your pack you could use. I wouldn't recommend adding additional weight *just* to get more elevation on the pillow. Try finding something that can serve multiple purposes - a detachable lid or hip pad from your pack, maybe? A puffy would work well, too, as you can use the cord on the pillow to stabilize it against the jacket. As for weight, this thing isn't the lightest pillow out there but the comfort makes it well worth the 12 oz in my opinion

      Great Travel Pillow

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I just returned from a trip to Ireland, and used this pillow on the trans-Atlantic flights twice. I have bought about 5 travel pillows for this purpose previously on prior trips, and so far, this one was the most successful. This pillow is rigid enough to rest on the armrest vertically and support my head in a stable position when I truly fall asleep. It was firmer than expected when it arrived, but I was happy about that after traveling with it. I am about to take it tent camping, so that will be the test if I can make it soft enough to be used horizontally. I'm sure I can, since it is adjustable from an inflation standpoint. The only con I can give so far is that there is no way I can successfully stuff it into the internal stuff sack once deflated. I have noticed one other post with the same issue. It packs up fairly small otherwise with a velcro strap.

      Great Camping Pillow

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've been using the Fillo Luxury for about a year now on basic weekend camping trips. I love how soft and comfortable it is and how easy it is to personalize how firm you want it. It's nice to see that it has an attached stuff sack that stays out of your way and side-sleepers will be happy to attach extra clothing to the bungee straps to raise its height. My whole family uses these, and everyone loves them.

      Best Camp Pillow

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I already had a Therm-a-Rest compressible pillow and this one is waaay nicer.

The addition of memory foam over the air bladder is clutch. So comfy, just the right squish. And because the air bladder can obviously be adjusted to various firmnesses, if that's even a word, this pillow will satisfy all pillow preferences and circumstances. I would be a great airplane pillow. I've only used it car camping, so far.

The micro fleece cover feels like my Sea to Summit camp towel. It's smooth, so it's cool when it's hot out. But because it's fleece it never feels cold, even on chilly nights. Apparently it's removable and washable, too, which is nice for me because I slobber in my sleep so much Homer Simpson has nothing on me. Interestingly, I slobber more when I'm dreaming that someone is chasing me. I must have been a bloodhound in a past life, but I digress.

The pillow deflates and rolls up nicely, but the internal stuff sack is shit ... way too small. F'n frustrating.

The zig-zag bungee on the back side is for stuffing clothes so you can adjust the thickness of the pillow. I haven't found that feature useful, yet, but there's no downside to it, as far as I can see. Plus, the cord can be removed if you need an impromptu bow string for your crossbow. Okay, I'll stop.

The Nemo Fillo Lux pillow is pretty lux. Nicest camp pillow I've come across. So long as the air bladder doesn't get punctured, this thing will be a very faithful camping companion.

      Best camping pillow ever!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought this pillow for a 2 week back country camping trip in western Montana (Glacier Nat Park and Bob Marshall). I tested a lot of the other camping pillows out in the stores, what I found was that most were way too small and made out of material that would squeak like a balloon when you moved around. I use to always bunch up my clothes to use as a pillow, not anymore! My family laughed at me when I said I was bringing a pillow along, of course I ended up getting the best night sleep every time, makes them want one now! Extremely comfortable! Must have!

      Best camping pillow ever!

Best camp pillow I have found yet!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I wish I could get by with just balling up a sweatshirt to sleep on while I am backpacking, but I just can't. I have been suffering with whiplash for about 5 years now and can't sleep through the night without a decent pillow. Before I got this pillow I would wake up every morning with a stiff neck and a headache. This pillow has solved that problem. The combination between an inflatable bladder and a memory foam pillow top you can fine tune this pillow until it is the perfect height and plumpness. It also has a bungee cord system on the back so that you can strap your sweatshirt to the back of it if you need to add additional height. Best of all it deflates and packs down into a small roll, so it doesn't take up much space in your pack. So if you are like me, and need solid neck support, this pillow is a can't miss!

      A Perfect Camp Pillow

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Depending on the pad, the bag or even the night, I often can't settle on sleeping on my side, stomach or back, because this is easily inflatable and deflatable, I can adjust it to my desires for the night super easily. The micro-towel-ish exterior liner is comfy and absorbs moisture. The foam between the air pocket makes it not as stiff as a simple air pillow. Overall, love it.
