Quality is lacking

I bought this backpack to use on my multipitch trips because everyone said the quality and comfort of the pack was unmatched. I loved the 3 zip design to easily access the bottom of the backpack. But after 1 trip, I find that the bottom of the backpack has a whole ripped through and one of the loops has been frayed. I'm incredibly disappointed with the quality and construction of the pack.

I bought this for everyday use and ease of retrieving items. I don’t like to carry a bunch of bags and I like everything on my back where it is easy for me to carry. I am petite and things like heavy purses just do not work. I can put this pack in my work locker and take things out without even removing the pack from my locker. I love the light weight material and the small pocket on top is perfect to grab a skinny wallet or quickly toss a credit card in without digging around looking for it. The bigger top pocket hold snacks, and various items for quick grab. The middle zipper is wonderful to grab what you need quickly. I use small pouches stacked in a row so I can see just what I need. The straps are comfy. The inner side pockets are great for things like an umbrella, rain poncho, flash light whatever. I do wish it had a whistle built into the chest strap for safety. I think more and more women are using backpacks these days and having a whistle in a dark garage for a student or anyone would be good. The only thing I found I had to do, is take the plastic velcro breaker out because it was bothering my neck no matter what adjustments I did. I even tried putting it where the foam pad is switching them around but I could still feel it. I thought maybe because I am short but I think some others have had an uncomfortable time with it also. The handle could be a bit thicker and wider, but I guess that would add weight, so maybe not. I really enjoy this pack and I have room for a light jacket and other items if needed.

Great travel bag. I'm a big Mystery Ranch fan. I love that this bag can hold so much and has been comfy enough for all my travels. The only time I ever had an issue was flights to Galapagos and smaller flights in Europe (both near the ends of trips when I had it packed full). Depending on the airline, it can get a little longer than allowed in overhead compartments so just be aware you'll have to really put the lid down when you close that compartment haha. The front zipper always made it easy to access my things and it kept my stuff dry.
