Freelite Series Footprints
Lightest is lightest.
The Freelite 1 Tent is MSR's lightest freestanding, solo tent for ultralight backpacking and camping. Thanks to MSR's Fast & Light option, which lets you ditch the canopy and only use the fly and footprint, the Freelite can weigh under two pounds. Both the fly and floor have Durashield treatments to keep you and your camping gear dry in wet weather, and the micromesh canopy keeps you comfy in warm and buggy environments.
The Freelite only uses one continuous pole made of super-light 7000 series aluminum, and various clips, guy cords, and aluminum cord adjusters make for a quick-and-easy setup. This tent also features a large door for easy in-and-out, and a vestibule for convenient camping storage. MSR included nine MSR needles to stake down your tent in windy weather.

Bike Packing Tent!
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
One of my customer's purchased this tent for a bike packing trip along the Kokopelli trail system (Fruita to Moab). This tent is insanely lightweight and can take a beating from rocks, sand, dirt, etc.

Love this tent
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I purchased this tent a little while ago for backpacking. I was finally able to use it this weekend. Very easy set up. I am 5'10" and had plenty of room at both ends of tent. The door is large and easy to get in and out of. There is also plenty of head room to sit up in. It held up very well in the two nights i was rained on. I am excited to go back out on a longer trip. I would recommend this tent for those who like their own space. Nothing against your buddy but i really dont want to be smelling their socks at the end of a long hike. Its my first msr tent and i am very happy with it.
I see 18 ft^2 of floor space, but what are the actual measurements? I'm 6'2" and buy the longer versions of sleeping bags, and so would like to know if I'll fit. Thanks for your help!
The floor dimension of this tent is 86 x 30 inches.
