Why We Like The Firefall 2 Jacket
When we bundle up for snowy pow days we trust the Mountain Hardwear Firefall 2 Jacket. Thanks to its burly face fabric and waterproof construction, the outer shell repels the elements and harsh, icy winds. Placing strategic 70D nylon paneling in areas that see abuse from skis over the shoulder and stray branches, the jacket is able to save on weight while remaining durable.

Nice piece of gear!
Looks great. Fits well (size large) for 6ft, 190 lb person. High quality construction. Can’t wait to ski in it (purchased in July!)

Love this jacket
Love this jacket. Looks good and performed great in powder. I’m 6’ 165lbs and ordered a size small for a more slim fit.

Great ski shell and more!
My first new ski jacket in 27 years. Yup, I've been skiing with the same Northface jacket for almost 30 years. Still love that jacket but was looking for a nice shell. Love the Firefall/2. Great fit (got a medium - I'm 6'1" and 175lbs). Skied in temps ranging from 20 to 35. On the colder end, there was snow falling as well and the jacket + hood over helmet worked very well. I had a lightweight base layer + a tshirt for the first cold day which was a bit too warm and switched to just a tshirt the second cold day. For the warm days, the pit vents helped but also skied with the jacket unzipped as it gets quite warm when active. Love the versatility as well. We were in another city after skiing and it was about 55-60 degrees out with light rain and this jacket worked perfectly as a rain jacket and didn't get too warm.

Perfect shell, best deal on the market
Love it so far, great fit, used it skiing today with a thin puffer jacket under and stayed warm at -10C. Can't wait for spring skiing!

Nice shell
Love the color and and the zipper that covers the chin. If a jacket is going to be that long it needs a 2-way zipper. Also to tight in the armpits.

3rd Mountain Hardware Coast
This is my 3rd Mountain Hardware Ski Coat and it's fantastic! Form and Function are 5-Stars, Color is 4-Stars (it's more Orange than Red). Everything about this coat is great; perfectly sized (a true medium), great for layering, highly functionality with multiple pockets and vents, and an interior gator. Also, it was a great value!!
