Year-round mountain trail running pack

I've tried a bunch of running vests to use for long-distance mountain outings and this guy takes the prize, especially where things can get a little technical. I use it for nearby winter summits and long summer trails and I've been happy with both experiences. I haven't seen anything that compares and there's no weight penalty for the extra features. The main pouch has high stretch fabric that allows me to stuff in extra layers -- no bounce when full (...usually overfull) or empty. Each shoulder has two hydration pockets, one with a pull string closure. The stretch fabric keeps beverages perfectly secure and easier loading and removing than other vests. Because they're stretchy you can load almost any standard 0.5L container. I always packing different summit reward beverages. Super slick ice axe fastener and utility loops. I'll sometimes connect the dog harness to a loop to help him up reachy scrambles, hands-free. My version has just one small zipper pocket, so I often use one of the pull-tie shoulder pockets for valuables. Works great for phone, key, headphones, etc.
