    No peak too far.

Push your next trail run into new zones with the Merrell Women's All Out Peak Trail Running Shoe. With 24mm of cushion, these shoes provide plenty of protection for your feet whether you're running on smooth compacted trails or rock-strewn routes above treeline. Its safe to say Merrell knows a thing or two about making shoes for the trail, so its only logical that the All Out Peak utilizes some of the same technologies that you'll find in its more traditional hiking shoes. The UniFly midsole makes for an intuitive trail feel, and with additional protection in the form of Merrell's TrailProtect Pad, you can run with ease knowing your feet will be the last thing to wear out on those high-mileage days. A durable Vibram sole digs into slick and loose surfaces for a secure running feel that will still perform when you rally roads back to your house. The breathable mesh upper wraps the foot for a cool and comfortable sock-like fit.

    My arches are happy

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 8 1/2

As in typical Merrell fashion, these shoes are FANTASTIC for those of us with arches as tall as mountains. I already own the Merrell All Out Charges, but wanted to get a second pair of training shoes since my mileage would be going up this summer. So far, the all out peaks are grippy, solid shoes that are excelling at exactly what they're marketed towards - running rocky terrain. The only reason I am giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is because the break in period on these is a little bit longer than the all out charges. The first couple of runs I wore them on my arches were a little sore, but now that they're broken in, they're amazing. Highly recommend, especially for those of us with narrow, high arched feet.

Side Note: I purchased these in Royal Blue and Orange. The color description is advertised as navy blue and orange, however, the color in the picture is very accurate. They appear much more pink and purple than they do blue and orange. I can see them looking more blue and orange after a seasons worth of dirt, but if you're against pink and purple, I'd go for a different color.

    tough trail shoe

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've worn these shoes for a couple hikes and a couple runs in the local park and so far I LOVE them. They're super comfy, have great support and even better traction. I hiked Angel's Landing in Zion National Park and was grateful for that traction. I spend about 48 hours in them in Zion and they don't feel heavy or uncomfortable after those long days. My favorite features include the mesh that goes over the tongue to keep rocks out and the protection on/above the toes for digging into rocks when you're scrambling. I'm new to trail running and I'm excited to start in these new shoes. I also plan to use these as my day hike and approach shoes. I've worn them a few times out and about but the traction feels a bit weird on pavement to me.

OK, but not worth the price

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs large

Tried these as a replacement for my Brooks Cascadias (after 3rd pair ripped in a few months decided I couldn't keep buying them until I won the lottery)... initially the Merrells fit well, but after a week or 2 they seemed to have stretched out and they were too loose, all around, but especially noticeable in the heel. The grip on the bottom was great for the trail but they were annoying when walking on pavement.

    Love these shoes!

I bought these shoes to use as trail runners and wear them almost everyday now. They are super comfortable and off great support. I use them on day hikes and also at work where I can be on my feet anywhere from 3 to 8 hours. I also use them as approach shoes while climbing and really notice the megagrip sole. I feel totally comfortable scrambling over boulders or walking up steep slab in these and knowing they'll perform. I would recommend these to anyone looking to benefit from any one of these features.
