The venerable DHF now has a comparable rear tire, which also serves as a great front tire. This tire will work awesome for braking if you are a more aggressive rider, and if you are more of a trail rider, throw it on the front and you will be pleased with endless traction and happiness. slap it on, get out and shred.

      Excellent for Dry, Loose Conditions

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

While some would consider Minions more suitable for the all-mountain/enduro crowd, I've actually been running this as a front tire on my trail bike in our very dry and loose conditions here in Utah and have been very pleased. The tread pattern offers a ton of braking traction that gives me a lot more confidence, and the tall side knobs bite hard under cornering. Definitely not a light tire by any means, but fairly reasonable considering the profile of the tire. Also has stiff sidewalls which can also be really felt in cornering. I've paired this with an Ardent 2.25 rear and have been very happy with the results. Definitely not the lightest or fastest tire combo uphill, but they more than make up for it going down.
