Nice pants, lightweight
Great pants and very light weight. Breathe great but cut the wind slightly. The cuffs are not bc ski boot compatible. A zipper on the pant cuff would be great to get them to fit over various boots. They fit well with hiking shoes/boots, cross-country ski boots, and skimo race boots. Personally, I found the fit kind of snug. I am 5' 6" and 120 lbs, and usually wear a 4. I bought these in size 4 but would prefer a 6. I can see these being really good for winter hiking/climbing with a layer underneath. By themselves they are definitely not warm, but they are meant more for hiking I think. Edit: after a wet fatbike ride the fabric in bum area has worn to a lighter shade of blue. I only got 4-6 uses out of these pants.

I would definitely size up, I am usually a size 2 and was a size 6 in these pants. They fit great, love the adjustable waistband. They move well and hold up with glissading!

Super comfortable fabric that moves with you and durable enough to have stood up to rocky hikes in the Andes and the alps. The zip pocket on the thigh comes in handy for everything from ID to an iPhone (+ size).

multifunctional
These pants are good for just about anything. I wear them for work as a Server and also for climbing and any hike. The fit is perfect ( I'm 5'2 125lbs wearing a size 34). To summarize: Sleek, durable, comfortable.

Exceptional quality
I bought these for hiking and mountain climbing. I live in Northern MN and have worn them in 45-70 degree temps. The stretch of the fabric is comfortable. After wearing out camping/hiking over three days, they held their fit...they didn't get too loose like some hiking pants do. The color is rad. I like them so much I just bought a second pair in black. Depending upon how you like your pants to fit, I ordered a size 44 which had a bit more room than the size 42. The 42 fits more snug of course. I typically buy 44 if I might do a thin base layer underneath. 42 is great if not planning on ever wearing anything underneath. Ps. I'm not a petite and can't thank Mammut enough for making awesome, quality, stylish outdoor wear for people that are a variety of shapes and sizes. You are my go to brand!
