Very comfortable fit
I bought these site unseen and loved the fit and the side zipper vents. They feel like the same thickness as my OR cirque pants and I will use them for spring and winter mountaineering climbs. The only thing I don’t like is there is no belt loops.

I live in the Pacific Northwest and do a fair bit of mountaineering and alpine touring. These are my go-to pants. There are a ton of great features, and the material is super durable, waterproof, while being breathable. I just summited Hood in them, skiing up 3/4 of the way and climbing the rest -- pants performed beautifully. Just be sure to size up.

Great Backcoutry Ski Pants, with one caveat
After too many years with my old ski pants, I finally upgraded to these Taiss Guide pants. I am in love. The fit is great. I am a 'curvy' woman and I have never found ski pants that fit this well (included other Mammut styles). The velcro waistband is a game changer if you are not boy-shaped (ie, have hips and a butt). I want to go skiing just so I can wear my new pants! I overheat easily, but the fabric of these pants is perfect and the side vents are well placed and quick and easy to open and close. I love the flat pockets, but wish that the thigh pockets had a little gusset in it so that my beacon had a little more space (but this is a minor detail, it is a little bit of a tight fit, but I don't notice it at all while touring). The only thing that I would change is the gaiter system. It is very well designed, but it is a tight fit around ski boots that are loosened for climbing. They are a great fit when my boots are buckled for the descent, but I have to mess around with them a bit to get a good enough seal to keep snow out while my boots are loose for the skin up. The design is great, I'm impressed, but I'm afraid that they aren't going to last as long as I would like with all of the pulling and stretching I have to do to get them around my boot. Overall, I'm very satisfied with these ski pants.

Sizing is off
I measured according to the size chart and the product is way off. Or the chart is.

Great softshell, but fits small
I buy a lot of Mammut clothing and the pants fit differently every time. Usually, as a 5'4" 130lb athletic lady, I am a size 4. These pants are great for ski touring, but fit just a tad tight. I love the light fabric and vents on the legs, as well as the reinforced pant legs for crampons.

Awesome pants

These are beautiful pants. I will wear them for rainy hikes in the fall & spring. They will also be great for backcountry skiing & snowshoeing. The only issue is the sizing is confusing. A 4 is a US X-small. 6 is a US small, etc. I'm 5'9", 123 lbs. Normally, I'd wear a 2 or 4 in US, but had to size up to 6.
