    Even Mammut does the Astro.

Slip Mammut's Astro Glove liner inside your ski glove for windproof protection powered by Gore Windstopper. This specially designed Windstopper features Gore's three-layer Softshell for enhanced breathability and stretch that doesn't interfere with your ski glove's dexterity. The Astro also serves as a standalone for frigid touring sessions in the backcountry. It blocks brisk breezes and still keeps your hand comfortably dry on sweaty skins to the summit.

    Gets the Job Done

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Overall, these liners are great for ski touring. They are water-resistant, definitely not waterproof, and offer a minimal amount of insulation against the bite of the cold.

Upon first use I was psyched on these. Simple design, simply efficient, right? While true, I have also destroyed the face fabric. Now, I put my gear to work, so it isn't terribly shocking, and to their credit, I have yet to tear a hole all the way through the full fabric itself, but I have small holes in the face fabric all over these bad boys now, which continue to get larger.

So who knows, maybe the face fabric isn't necessary, will update as I learn more.
