I've been wearing Luna Sandals for 2 years now ever since my cousin gifted me my first pair. I used to be a die-hard Chacos guy. But then I put these on. I loved them immediately. These are my third pair!
They may look a lil goofy but they feel amazing. Nothing more stable than walking/running barefoot. Each step is surefooted no matter what the terrain.
With that being said, not all Luna Sandals are created equal. These are a stiffer sole geared toward hiking and more rugged terrain. I'd love to steer you toward your prefect pair and assist with sizing. contact me directly.
For fitting purposes, you want your toes to come right to the edge of the sandal. I even prefer a little overhang of the toe. Crazy, I know!
I've worn these sandals in water and on long 6+ mile hikes. Of course, if your packing and have a lot of weight, you will want more support and cushion than these provide.
I'm usually a 12.5 or 13 shoe. I have both 12.5 and 12's in these sandals. I prefer the smaller fit.
- Height: 6'1"
- Weight: 174lbs
As a long time chaco wearer, I was disappointed at the major drop in chaco quality and fit. So, I stumbled upon these sandals as an alternative and have been pretty blown away. I have friends who use them for trail running but I have only taken them for hikes so far. The fit was a little awkward at first and took time to get used to and to adjust to get really dialed in, but after 15 to 20 miles they fit like a glove. Stoked!
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
- Fit: True to size
- Height: 5'10"
- Weight: 170lbs
Bought these as a house warming gift for some friends and they are all about them. Went on to tell me about the company history (founded by the guy who wrote Born to Run IIRC) and how these things are basically god's gift to sandal clad feet. Apparently really comfortable and well-made.
