Take some of the rattle out of slickrock.

If you've ridden in Moab, you know that its particular brand of slickrock can make you feel like you've aged 20 years in an afternoon. It's nice to have a little extra cushion while riding there, especially for your hands. The Lizard Skins Moab Grip provides the little bit of extra cushion and traction that you'll need to finish a Moab epic without feeling like you've been running a weed-wacker for 8 hours.

The Moab Grip features a raised texture that provides traction and shock absorption. You'll need quite a bit of both if you find yourself careening through Hazard County or negotiating technical cliffside moves on Jackson's Trail. With a 31mm diameter and 130mm width, there's plenty of area for your hands to wrap around.

The Lizard Skins Moab Grip comes in one size and is available in Black, White, or Grey.

    Good simple grip

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These replaced a set of lock-on grips that I somehow managed to lose the outer piece on one side of. I didn't want the hassle of dealing with the multiple parts of lock-on grips for such a simple piece on a beater bike, so I bought these. Decent, basic grip at a good price.

It's not mentioned here but apparently Lizard Skins donates a portion of the sales of these grips to a Moab trail maintenance group. Buy these as a backup and help a trail builder out.

    good grip, better price

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

So if you're on a budget or want a set to keep around as a backup these are it. I like the esi chunky's feel a little better but these are not bad at all.
