Lems wouldn't replace defective pair
I had these shoes for just over a year. And probably only wore them about 20 times. Then the tongue of one of the shoes completely came detached from the inside. I reached out to Lems and they said they only have a 1 year manufacturer's warranty. Instead of helping me, they suggested I take advantage of a sale coming up. Why would I spend more money on their shoes? I won't. I spent too much money on my first pair and only got ~20 uses. I hope everyone else has better luck than me with these.

Went up half size
I had to go up a half size in these. I do have a med/wide foot, which may have been part of it, but my toes were right at the end of the Women's 9.5's so I went up to a Women's 10. It seems they are marketing these more as a unisex shoe but noting traditional mens/women's size equivalents. The women's equivalents may be half a size off? When the "women's" wasn't available in the color I wanted, I was able to order the "men's" and it appears to be the exact same shoe. That worked out great. I am happy to report the rubber seemed grippier than I was expecting for a hybrid/casual hiking sneaker while hiking over rocks in the desert. I dig the style overall.

Too sloppy to be functional
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
I got these because I needed a replacement "trail to town" shoe since my beloved Ahnu Montara Breeze has long been discontinued. I was looking for a similarly low drop shoe. Unfortunately these are a big disappointment. The cushion is very nice but has a bit of a sloppy feel with little to no support - more like a running shoe. Still, very comfortable sole and good grippy outsole with low treads appropriate for daily use. But the upper, oh lord! Well, there barely IS any upper. It's designed to look a bit like a skate shoe I guess, which are often worn with the laces loosely tied to be slipped on and off easily. Which means the top of this shoe is ALL laces and tongue. The sides of the upper do not wrap the foot at all, even though I have a super narrow low-volume foot. This results in pressure points on top of the foot, even just walking around the house a few minutes. No amount of adjusting seems to help. The laces are the only thing strapping my feet to the sole - the upper may as well not exist. This also contributes to the sole feeling loose and sloppy despite these being just a touch small. My midfoot does not feel supported, and just swims around in the shoe. These would only work with the laces tied loosely, like you would a skate shoe. Therefore rendering it useless for hiking. Photo shows my new Lems laced snugly, next to my very old Ahnus.
