Why We Like The KUHL Aktivator Hoodie
When hiking in the cold, we need an outer layer that can keep us comfortable without overheating. We love the KUHL Aktivator Hoodie for its ability to provide lightweight insulation that is super breathable. The Aktivator has strategically-placed insulation weights, featuring lighter-weight insulation under the arms and on the sides for optimal comfort. Two zippered chest pockets and two zippered hand pockets give us a place to keep all our essentials, and a drawstring hood lets us cinch it up when it gets cold.

This jacket is a great alternative to the Arkteryx Atom at a much more reasonable price. The zippers that Kuhl uses are far superior to other jacket brands, especially Fjallraven. It's a lightweight jacket that sheds a light rain and keeps me warm in cooler weather.
