Two is better than one.

Or—in the case of the Klymit Double V Sleeping Pad—one is better than two. This inflatable pad works better for couples than trying to push two sleeping pads together, and the side-by-side use of Klymit's V-Chamber construction means that the movement of air between the sides is limited; no need to worry that you'll disturb your partner if you wake up in the middle of the night. The patented design delivers support and comfort to sleepers of all ilks—side, belly, and back—and uses a pattern of deep welds that discourages the pad from flattening out when you're on it. Side rails are integrated into the patterning to cradle you as you sleep, preparing you and your partner for tomorrow's adventures.

  • Inflatable sleeping pad for camping couples
  • Well insulated for summertime adventures
  • Supportive and comfortable for all type of sleepers
  • Deep welding creates a lofty sleeping experience
  • Side rails prevent you from rolling off
  • Interior anti-odor laminate wards off pesky smells from forming
  • Stuff sack offers quick and easy inflation

Won't Hold Air

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer
Fit:
True to size

I have owned two of these pads, one of which is a warranty replacement for the first one I bought. The pad is very comfortable and packs relatively small for car camping or river trips. It is too heavy and bulky for technical or weight-sensitive missions. It fits two people very comfortably. Unfortunately, neither pad I have owned has been very durable, and within ~20 nights of sleeping on each pad, they have started to spring leaks. At first I'll be surprised, and I'll patch a leak, then another one will appear, and another one... this has happened with both pads I've owned. In neither instance did I sleep on the pad in a particularly prickly environment, and the pad has only been used inside tents or on tarps, etc. At this point, I won't seek a warranty replacement, because I just won't trust the third pad to hold air when I need it to.

Awesome Option

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This pad is a great option for car camping or shorter trips. It is very easy to inflate with the included inflation bag, and the firmness is easily adjustable with the inflation valve. Fits perfectly in a two person tent and is a great option for sleeping two. The pad itself is durable and soft, able to withstand my large dog doing his nightly circles before settling down for the night. Is a bit bulky when packed and not the lightest option on the market, but certainly a solid pad for a good nights sleep.

Great Double Pad for car camping

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Really comfortable double pad, and easy to inflate! I don't think I'd qualify this as a "backpacking" pad, only because its still pretty large and bulky when compressed. Great option for car camping or short distance backpacking trips.

Double Up

This pad is great, I love how easy it is to pack and fill with the storage bag. The actual pad is incredibly comfortable and soft. The design of the V's across the pad make for well distribution of weight so you never sink into the ground or feel uneven.

Solid Option

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

This is definitely a fairly packable, easy to inflate pad. There's plenty of room for two and you don't notice much tossing and turning from side to side. I will say, this could be beefed up a little bit - but overall this is a solid value for a double-wide!

Love it!

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This pad is super comfy ( just like all Klymit pads) and perfect for me. I'm a side sleeper and have such a hard time finding a pad that I like. Packs down to be pretty small for a double pad. Easy to blow up with the bag it comes with. Also love that there is a separate deflate valve.

Perfect for Car Camping!

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

This double sleeping pad seems like it was basically made for car camping. I love taking this pad because it packs so small and comes with the inflation bag/stuff sack, that makes it so easy to blow up. It's plenty of space for my partner, my dog and myself and the material is also durable and very easy to clean. Definitely one of my camping essentials now.

Awesome Pad

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

It took a minute to figure out the proper way to inflate this bag but once you get the hang of it, its quick and effortless. Plenty of space for two. and the material seems very durable. I was pretty blown away at how small this pad packs up as well. Its great for backpacking with your significant other and does not take up much space in your bag.

Works really well and held air perfectly

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I took this out to use back during the Burton Super Clinic up at the Freedom Frontier. It inflated really well once I figured out the bag that it comes with is an air pump. That is a super cool feature. Temps that weekend got pretty low and the bag held air all night and it fit perfectly in my 3 person tent. I would recommend to anyone looking for a great car camping pad or all around campers. Bit too heavy for backpacking.

Great for car camping with your SO!

I brought this pad out for a long weekend of camping with a partner in the San Rafael Swell, and then again for a weeklong climbing/camping trip in Indian Creek, Utah. The pad is really easy to inflate using the included stuff sack, and held air like a champ for the entire week. It's very comfortable for two people, and I loved having a big pad I could toss and turn on while I was by myself. The insulation/R-value on the pad is fairly low at only 1.6, so I wouldn't recommend this for colder weather camping, but for summer camping trips you can't beat it!

Comfortable and convenient!

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I've used this pad a few times now, and each time I am definitely satisfied with it. Inflates really easily with the bag that you carry it in, and holds air well throughout the night. Plenty of space for two and it doesn't seem as noisy as the Klymit V for a single person. Doesn't take up too much space and is perfect for car camping.

GREAT Value

Familiarity:

I am so excited about this sleeping pad! It is the perfect size for two.... or for one if you really want to sprawl out after a long day on the trail! I completely agree with the others that this pad is super easy to inflate and is extremely compact for its size. Honestly, for the price you really can't beat it!

Not bad but not great either

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I really had high hopes for this pad but it just doesn't quite work out. My wife and I came off the AT for two nights with this and we are getting something else. I am 6ft 4in and 200lbs, my wife is 5ft 6in and 135lbs. Both our hips touched ground when on our sides. Also, this only has one chamber. If I move around in my sleep she went along for the ride. On the plus side it's built really well; tough enough for pups with trimmed paws. It folds down very small and is quiet light for it's size. Frustrating as it comes so close but misses the mark.

Simple, comfortable, compact.

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Huge fan of this double pad. I remember being so exhausted after a long hike and I gave up halfway through blowing up my air pad and went to sleep. That is not the case with this pad. The system used to inflate it is as easy at it gets and I can typically get the entire pad full within 10 light breaths. For the size it is quite compact.

Compact for its size!

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

The sleeping pad out of the package is very compact for its size. The way it's blown up is easy and doesn't require much work. It simply catches air in the sack/chamber and lets the air transfer into the pad. The perk is that it doesn't allow you to over-inflate it because as much air as I try to put in, the tubes don't get hard like it'll explode and still has a lot of give. Sleeping on it is comfortable and provides enough height off the ground for cold nights. The only flaw I see with this pad is the tubes when kneeling on or leaning on the pad with any limb you don't get much cushions the grooves in between the air tubes aren't inflated, so be prepared to feel the ground sometimes. The sleeping pad overall is comfortable, durable, and doesn't feel cheap.
