Fjorgyn Anorak

Roughly translated, Fjorgyn is the the Old Norse feminine noun for earth, and is also the name of Thor's mother in Norse mythology. And with a waterproof construction, classic Scandinavian design, and modern look, the Klattermusen Men's Fjorgyn Anorak is the ideal rain jacket for spending some quality time with Mother Nature with a misty mountain walk or rainy day hike through the hills.

Based out of Åre Sweden, Klattermusen weaves traditional Swedish designs with functional and eco-friendly materials for all-around mountain travel. The 2.5-layer shell is made with a PTFE-free membrane for a more eco-friendly construction and features fully taped seams to completely wall out water. A classic pullover design, two-way adjustable hood, and elastic-adjustable hems boost the overall functionality of the Fjorgyn, while the large front zippered pocket doubles as a stuff sack when mother earth decides to let the skies clear during your high mountain walks.

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer
Fit:
True to size

Something I've come to understand from spending years outdoors is that the key to being prepared for any weather isn't having one item that does it all, but rather having an arsenal of items that can be layered and interchanged properly to fit any situation. This shell is just that - I can have a base layer, a mid layer, and this anorak to go snowboarding for when it isn't that cold outside and it works wonderfully. Since there is essentially no hard parts and the anorak packs down really well, I always make sure to bring it with me. Especially hiking in alpine levels I've grown to be prepared for the sudden onset of summer evening showers by always having this anorak on me. This item is unisex, so do some homework on sizing for unisex before making a purchase.
