    The ultimate winter boot.

The driveway isn't gonna shovel itself, and your black lab doesn't care that it snowed half a foot overnight—the pooch still wants to go on a hike. Lace up the Keen Men's Summit County Boots and get on with it knowing that your feet will stay warm and dry with Keen.Warm insulation and a Keen.Dry waterproof, breathable membrane. The leather and textile uppers lend rugged durability while the compression-molded midsole, shell back heel support, and thermal heat shield foot bed cushion your feet in ergonomic comfort. If you get a melt-freeze cycle and the trail gets slick, you'll still be surefooted thanks to the rubber outsole that hardens in cold conditions.

Best Winter Boot I've had so far

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 9
    • Height: 5'7"
    • Weight: 135lbs

Just picked up a pair of these before I headed back to the frozen Tundra of MN to visit family for Christmas. It was consistently -15 degrees and I wore these outside sledding, shoveling and just bumming around town. They kept my feet toasty warm and dry the whole time. Sole provides good traction on snowy/icy surfaces, insulation is definitely sufficient and they are not overly bulky and heavy like some winter boots I've had. They are easy to walk in and would be great for winter hiking/snowshoeing. Wider fit allows for nice thick socks, though they don't seem too wide for my narrow feet. The only complaint I have, and this is why I didn't give them 5 stars, is that they don't come up too high on your leg. If you're going to be in more than 6in of snow I would suggest pairing these with snow pants or gaiters. Otherwise you may find yourself with some snow sneaking in around your ankles. Otherwise great boot, I'm very happy with my purchase. In my experience they seem true to Keen's sizing.

Great for winter, snow & cold

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 13
    • Height: 6'2"
    • Weight: 190lbs

These boots are comfortable, warm and dry. I've snowshoed with them in 15 below zero, hiked in them for a couple hours in single digits and shovelled snow in a blizzard. They have kept my feet warm and dry. The laces they come with are extra long which can be annoying sometimes but not a big deal. Overall, they are great. I would ideally wear a 12.5 so i got 13 and they fit just right with the perfect amount of room so my toes can move and breathe.

    Comfortable and warm

    • Fit: True to size

I bought these for my dad since he works up at the ski resort and would prefer to not be in his ski boots all day. He loves them! Comfortable all day long and very warm. The rubber tread has fantastic traction as well! This boot has Keen's traditional wide footbed opposed to the durand polar that has a narrower foot bed so if you were looking for a wider footbed, this is a winner! Also- its 450 grams insulation in the toe box and 400 grams in the rest of the boot.
