Full-zone trail armor meets mobility in the Hex Upper Body Protector
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I’ve ridden park laps and technical enduro stages in this, and it strikes a solid balance between protection and comfort. The hard shell slides instead of grabbing when you hit the ground, and the hex panels absorb impact without feeling bulky. I like that it zips on easily and stays put all day."
When the trail turns steep and speeds pick up, we commit fully—and that means trusting our protection. The Hex Upper Body Protector from iXS is built for those high-consequence lines where confidence changes everything. Whether we’re charging bike park laps or threading through rocky enduro sections, it lets us ride aggressively without feeling weighed down.
A low-friction outer shell is designed to glide across dirt and rock during a slide, reducing snag points, while the 3D hexagonal HexMatter structure works to absorb and disperse impact energy. Certified protection covers the back, chest, shoulders, and elbows, with Level 2 protection at the back and Level 1 at key impact zones. The ventilated mesh chassis and full-length center zipper keep airflow moving and make it easy to layer under a jersey, so we stay comfortable from first chair to last lap.
