- Q & A
Lightweight, compact, and durable. Great buy.
Perfect Lightweight Bottle
This thing is awesome. Lightweight and streamlined.
Durable but absorbs the smell
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Long story short, it holds liquids great and doesn't leak. Very lightweight and collapsible when it needs to be. Seems to be very durable and could withstand some minimal abuse.
CON: If you plan to store booze in this bottle you may want to reconsider. It absorbed the smell of some rye whiskey I stored in it for a backpacking trip and it is almost impossible to get rid of. When I say absorbed I mean inside and out, that thing reeks and will stink up a small room/car. I have tried letting it soak in hot soapy water, then a bleach solution of about 200 ppm...still smells like a distillery. Last night I tried Dr. Bronner's hemp peppermint pure-castile soap and hot water on the inside for a few hours and that seems to have done the best but now it smells like the peppermint soap and a trace of the rye. It says dishwasher safe but that will be my last resort if I can't bear the taste of water through it anymore. I've seen a small 200mL "Flask" size in this same brand/material and I would say the same goes for it too; you won't be hiding anything by the way it smells through the bottle.
