Why We Like The HOKA Gaviota 5 Wide Shoe
Plush and stable—that's the HOKA Gaviota 5 Wide Shoe. This super-soft running shoe features gobs of EVA foam to cushion each step while adding a stabilizing H-Frame to protect against over-pronation. This mix of cushion and protection keeps our feet happy as we're running roads and walking sidewalks and parks in our neighborhood. The wide size gives our toes extra wiggle room and accommodates wider feet.

Not thrilled with these
These fit horribly. There is some weird bump in the shoe on the side that hits my foot wrong very uncomfortable. Problem is I threw the box away, so I can't return them.

Bring back the Gaviota 4...I'd buy a dozen pairs
Please bring back the Gaviota 4....this version is too wide and clunky...I loved the Gaviota 4!!!! So supportive and looked good too.

Definitely worth buying and buying again
I am almost at the point of buying new ones, but these shoes have been absolutely amazing! I LOVE them. I switched from the Arahis to these and while I like both, these are my favorite! I walk a lot and I have over pronating, wide, flat feet and these have been perfect for that. The few runs I've had in these haven't been too bad either!

I am enjoying my purchase
Due to nerve damage to my right leg back in 2015 these shoes have helped the stability in standing and walking I needed

So disappointed
I have 2 pairs of Gaviota 4s-love them! I ordered the Gaviota 5 same size (wide). They are way too big, not just in width but in length too. NO comparison to the Gaviota 4. Returning and frustrated. What is going on at Hoka? (So many 1 star reviews on different new models-I'm not sure what brand to try now.) :(

It is a great product, but make sure the size is right
My previous Hoka shoe was a great fit, but this one seems to be too wide and a little lose.

Comfortable and supportive
I bought these when a podiatrist advised me to look into them. They are very supportive, fit well, are stable, and just generally make my feet feel so much better than my previous shoes.

DUCK FEET
This shoe is a great disappointment for me. The H frame is supposed to provide increased stability; however, in my case, even ordering a regular width when I had always purchased a wide width, this shoe made my feet look like I was wearing diving flippers, or had duck feet. The plushness is there as always, but the wideth of the toe box even in regular size made me feel unsteady. I reluctantly went back to Brooks (Ariel), and then found a "sale" for ta pair of the old Gaviota 4.

pregnant daughter
My daughter's back was hurting, so I bought some walking shoes and now she's in love and will not take them off. Thanks

Size guide not even close
I used the online size guide and the shoes I ordered were two sizes too big.
