Best ski jacket i ever had

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer
Size Bought:
Xxl

This HH alpha 4.0 jacket is truly fantastic - it does its job so well, that it disappears into the background of your ski day and you can just focus on skiing. The windproofing is great, i sat hunkered down on a chair with a lot of wind and no problem. The main zipper works well, easy to adjust with gloves as you are coming down and generating heat; the venting on the back also helps. Pockets are well placed and sufficient. Only con - After 10 days of skiing i noticed one of the seam threads is coming out - a bit early if you asked me.

Great coat but it's like skinny jeans

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it
Size Bought:
Large

I bought large of this HH coat and when I put it on the coat sleeves were very tight against my arms all the way through the forearms even though I was wearing a short sleeve t-shirt. I wear a large t-shirt (6', 205 lbs, 43" chest, 34" waist) and a Sessions XL coat I have is very loose. I went with large on the HH instead of XL so I would have a coat that wasn't so loose on me. I'm sad it didn't work out for me since it is such a sweet coat.

Nice Jacket but Slim fit

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it
Size Bought:
Large
Height:

Weight:

This is a very nice jacket and quite warm with all the features you could ask for. However, it is too slim fit for me especially in the arms and I'm not heavy for my size. I would not be able to wear any layers under it and the arms would still be too tight on me. Excellent jacket if it fits you. XL would be too big for me.

Very good jacket - slim fit

Familiarity:
I've used it several times
Size Bought:
M

This is a slim jacket that still kept me very warm. Had to keep on wearing less under it, until I only wore my base layer. It does fit very snug. I do think the special insulated pocket kept my phone battery from draining as fast. Overall, am satisfied.

Outstanding resort ski jacket / a

Got this for resort skiing in winter ‘23-24. Very happy with this purchase. I had been debating between a technical ski shell or this, very glad I chose this option. The fabric is stretchy, which makes it much more comfortable than a typical shell, and has no associated crinkle with movement. The interior liner is very soft, and I’ve frequently worn just a t shirt underneath in milder (>25 degree) weather comfortably when walking around town. I skied with it in Vail in a -25 F windchill, was perfectly warm with a heavy baselayer and mid-weight midlayer. Similarly comfortable in heavy wet snow at +30 F with only a light base layer and vents open. I had been concerned about the waterproofing material compared to a GoreTex 3L option, but this was a non-issue; Sitting on the chairlift in heavy wet snow my shell pants soaked through, but there wasn’t a spot on this jacket. The hood works well over a helmet or without a helmet, though the removable nature makes it flare a little at the cheeks compared to an integrated non-removable option. This isn’t an issue except in sub-zero windchills. Nice to be able to remove it as well.
