What do you think about this product?

    Have questions about this product?

    Have many, very good price

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have many stuff sacks, by many brands (REI, OR, Osprey), and I end up using the 3 liter Granite Gear on all trips. I carry my mug, spoon, and nalgene sugar container in one, and toiletries in another. The white interior does allow you to see what you are looking for, but other than at night you probably won't need it. Just purchased the 16 liter long and am carrying a Prolite 4 sleeping pad in it; it's well made and durable.

    Sturdy stuff sack

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I initially bought this to hold my sleeping pad ... of course the sack is too small (I think my pad is destined to remain free), but it worked GREAT for holding other items. Durable material and high-quality construction. Would recommend these for any multiple purpose need.

    Tough indeed

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Heavy duty stuff sack. The seams look bulletproof, and the white lining does make it easier to find stuff in there.

Good, but not great...Great's already taken!

I just received my Toughsack (size #1) along with an assortment of Sea to Summit Seam Sealed stuff sacks. I was expecting to like the Sea to Summit ones better, so I got more of them and only one of these. And, well, I was right. The Sea to Summit stuff sacks are better designed, waterproof, and they seem just as tough. And they're practically the same price. So, although the Granite Gear sack is fine for a simple stuff sack, why not get a lot more for your money with the Sea to Summit ones?

      Always Handy

I have multiple colors and sizes of these types of bags, always handy... I have printed out a laminated card that I keep in my top pack of my backpack which tells me what stuff I have stored into what different colored bags and use these same colors every time I go backpacking... this way I don't have to try and remember or dig for the kitchen stuff or fire starter or first aid, etc...

        Will come in handy

Toughsacks will come in handy to carry things in the boat this summer and stash in the glovebox. Glad the size is small enough for that. Will hold a camera, keys, and loose change, all in one place with ease!

          Use em on every trip

Durable and lightweight with multiple uses. Use 1) Keep your dirty clothes from the clean ones. Use 2) Stuff your coat into the sack and use for a pillow. Use 3) Pack food and hang from a tree to keep the critters at bay. Use 4) Anyone need a trash can? Use 5) Stuff whatever stuff you want to stuff.

What is the warranty on the Toughsack that is eighteen months old and now has become sticky on the interior of the bag, and the stickyness is not removable with soap and water. The bag is now no good for storing my two hundred dollar down sleeping bag........I have a second toughsack bought at the same time, handled the same way, and is not sticky on the white interior of the bag.

I gotta slumberjack sleeping bag and I lost the stuff bag. Any ideas on which bag would fit it. The stuff sack originally was a little bigger than a footbal? If that helps

you would probably be safe with a 5L toughsack. but, depending on how old your original stuff sack was, you may be better served by calling the manufacturer of your bag. my mountain hardwear compression sack ripped out at the seams and they replaced it for free.

Hey will the 16L Tall work for a Thermarest Ridge Rest foam sleeping pad?

Depending on which Ridge Rest you have, Solar or SOlite... only the regular Solar will fit (and the 23L will fit these better) and only the small/regular SOlite will fit (also the 23L will fit this mat better than the 16L tall)...
