C3 GORE-TEX Overshoe

Delight in toasty toes when you go for your frosty winter rides with help from the Gore Wear C3 Gore-Tex Overshoes. These handy covers strap over your kicks with hook-and-loop closure that can be cinched down for the perfect fit, while the Gore-Tex membrane sheds water and slices through wind to keep your feet as warm as possible. The lining is made from Gore's Robust Shell, adding an insulating element to the party, with polayamide that wicks, polyurethane that insulates, and added Kevlar for good measure, upping the durability. Abraison resistant material is used near the bottom of the overshoe, holding up to the moments when you have to hit the road or trail on foot. The overshoes pack down nice and tidy when you're done using them, so you can toss them in your back pocket when the sun comes out and the ground starts to warm.

Baggy and poor closure

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Agree 100% with previous reviews about oversizing. I too am a 9.5 US / 43 Euro and the recommended size is way too big. This means the very thin vertical strip of Velcro at the back of the cover doesn’t connect with its counterpart, making closure difficult. The material looks like good quality but definitely size down if you want to buy.

Poor Fit, Runs Large

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I went by the size chart, and ordered a 9.0-10.5.( I take a 9.5 shoe). They are so big, its like wearing trash bags on your feet. Horribly oversized. Unfortunately, I waited too long to try them on to exchange them or get a refund. I am not sure how Gore Wear can be so off on a size chart.

Good concept, real bad follow-through

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Ordered these for the imminent rainy rides here in Seattle, after having worn through my Seal Skinz. Saw the reviews about the poor velcro closure, but thought "Ah well, as long as I strap my rain pant cuff down over top of them..." Opened the package today, pulled them on over my mtb/commuter bike shoes... "Wow, these really are bad." I knew I would be returning them seconds after that. Because of the loose-fitting Gore-Tex fabric as well as the awkwardly massive velcro at dead center on the back, the bottom edges hang over and on the treads of my shoes. Or, they were hanging over on one side and felt impossible to even out. Obviously, this is likely because this shoes cover does not fit snug over your shoes and they're not made to. However... The worst part is the two huge pieces of velcro at the back... You know that experience of trying to hold down two edges of wrapping paper, pulled tight with one hand while you fumble for the Scotch tape in the other? This was like that. But now imagine that your wrapping paper has elastic and you're crouching down, trying to hold it down on the back of your lower calf muscle... Gore, couldn't you have at least made the two sides attached in some way? Maybe right near the bottom? How about one of those water-repelling zippers, then a velcro strap at the top? A line of that sticky, rubber stuff to keep water from coming in at the top? I am baffled by this design. It just sucks.
