Hardest tire to mount I have ever used
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
These tires really do excel in mud and are more than reasonable on pavement and hard-packed trails. I took them on a 380 mile ride though Tuscany, IT, on a lot of mountain paths and singletrack, with a decent showing of gravel trails. I cannot say I'd recommend this use case, but I did survive. I put less than 2k miles on them before the rear's center tread wore down the whole way, with those miles being half paved half not. I could have gotten them over 2k easily if I had rotated them... but... These are the WORST mounting tires I have ever mounted. I would almost always end up at 95% mounted and ride them like that, because no amount of over-inflation, prying, lubrication, or anything else would get them up on the rims fully. I wish this wasn't the case. I give a 4/5 because your mileage may vary with rim sizing, but I have not had nearly this problem with Conti, Maxxis, or Schwalbe.

Great tires but difficult to mount

These are really good tires. I've ridden it for over 500 miles and it gobbles up gravel without any problems. The one con with these tires though is that it was very difficult to set the bead on my carbon rims. It took a about an hour of fiddling using an air compressor to finally set it.

These seem really great so far
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Hadn't read any reviews of Goodyear's tires, but I liked the tread. Reminds me of DONNELLY X'Plor MSO, which I liked but always seemed kinda klunky to me (not sure how to describe it, they just never felt fast). These seem great so far. I run them on 25mm internal width carbon rims at about 30-35 psi (I'm 157lbs) and they seem really great on both road and gravel. Fast rolling, good traction and comfortable. Sizing seems correct but I haven't pulled out the calipers.
