The Goal Zero Lighthouse Micro Charge offers an ingenious two-in-one combination of broad lantern illumination and narrow-focused flashlight beam, with a USB-rechargeable battery and USB-output that powers small electronics when you're off the grid. The lantern packs 150 lumens of broad lighting that's ideal for campsites and tents, while the flashlight offers 115 lumens of powerful illumination for finding your way through the dark.
It's compatible with many of Goal Zero's Solar Panels and Battery Packs, fully charging from a standard USB port in 3.5 hours. Plus, you'll find it charges off the popular Nomad 7 Solar Panel in as little as 7.5 hours. The rechargeable battery also powers small electronics and portable devices with its USB output juicing a smartphone once or adding a bit of power to your tablet. Battery indicator LEDs give you an accurate assessment of the remaining power of the lantern, so you're never left in the dark.

Very useful lantern
Love these lanterns! We use them daily as an alternative to lamps in our bedroom and for a nightlight in the living room. Love they can be dimmed. Charge typically once a week. Rarely use as a charger, but nice to know they can be used in an emergency. Highly recommended.

Fiat lux!
Great compact light for backpacking and task light for setting up camp, cooking and lighting your tent. About 7 to 8 hours of light before recharge.

Powerful yet so lightweight.
These are the brightest little flashlights ever. Carry in my coat pocket, lights up the nighttime dog walk when needed. Love that I don’t need to deal with batteries.

My review after continuous use
Bought this Lantern in July 2021 and used it very often and the top light just burned out today (Christmas day 2024) It’s been a great flashlight, super bright and we also love the dimming feature. Was hoping it would last for at least 5 years though.

Cool little lantern
Really liking this little lantern/flashlight. Excellent light output in a small package. Cool little touch by adding the carabiner for easy hanging. Charge lasts for a long time.

Recharged my phone half way which was just what I was hoping for; a quick emergency charge.

Great Feature
Hello? I bought the Goal Zero and used it outside 3 times. The battery performance is fine for overnight camping. I tried charging my iPhone 14 and it was able to charge about 30%. I think it can only be used for emergency charging. Overall, I am satisfied.

Great buy and a great product!
I bought 20 of these light weight yet powerful mini lanterns for my kids and grandkid in light of the troubled times in America. Great and simple way to prepare for trouble.

Can I charge the Lighthouse Micro Flash through any USB charger (for example one used to charge iPhones)?

As the CHARGER function doesn't have a physical on/off switch, I understand there must be some "quiescent" current to watch for a USB cable plug-in...How much is this quiescent current, and does it materially reduce the shelf-life?
