    Splitboard + Grip Climbing Skin

Out of all the splitboard skins that G3 sells, the Splitboard + Grip Climbing Skin by far has the best grip. This skin is ideal for splitboarders who tend to ride icier, steeper terrain, or any backcountry beginner who's constantly slipping on the skin track. Its proprietary nylon material is surprisingly light and supple to pack with ease. The asymmetric tip connector clips around the inside-corner of each splitboard for a secure fit, and the new tail connector can cam into a tight fixation so you don't have to pull it tight. G3 refined its skin adhesive this year to reduce glopping overtime, and you can rip off the center strip when you want more adhesion after a few seasons.

    • Asymmetrical tip connector and camming tail connector self-align

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I love these skins because they do exactly as advertised. I was out with a buddy of mine who did not have these same skins and I was able to make it up steep pitches with no problem, while my buddy had to abort the track, take off his planks and hike the steeper sections. I am also a huge fan of them including the trim tool and skin savers. The tool made cutting the skins super easy and the skin savers make it very easy to unravel the skins for the next tour plus allow your glue the chance to stay sticky. The included storage bag is great for keeping everything organized inside my pack. I usually tour short, steep sections, so the Grip is perfect for my terrain! Let me know if you have any questions on these skins or other splitboard related questions!
