    Protective warmth wherever you roam.

The ultralight FlyLow Gear Women's Betty Down Hooded Jacket is protective and compressible so you can take it on any adventure. Treated with DownTek, the Betty's lofty and warm 800-fill down insulation resists water to retain its warmth in damp conditions. FlyLow Gear coated the shell with DWR for extra water-resistant protection, making this coat a great choice for bluebird days at the resort as well as rainy days at the campsite. The Betty stows into its own pocket so you can take it backpacking or up climbing walls without a problem.

Winter is on its way! This coat is great for those cold fall nights and Bluebird winter days!. It is warm and comfy and a good amount of give for movement!

    Cozy and Compact

I love that this coat keeps me toasty on cold days on the mountain. There's a phone pocket and outside zipper pockets. I also like that there is a built-in stuff sack on the inside of the coat. Easy to wear with layers.

    Doesn't measure up

Bought this coat a year ago to replace a worn out north face puffy. Love that it has a hood and is light weight. Fits nicely (I'm 5'3, 140lbs, medium). The outer material is not tough at all. It feels flimsy and rips every time I walk past a tree. I would NEVER wear it skiing or hiking or any other outdoor sports without a shell over it. Already have patches all over this coat, and the seams in the pockets are ripping out. I put a beer in my pocket the other day, and after skinning up a few switchbacks, it had somehow managed to settle in the small of my back. Took a few minutes and a helper to retrieve the beer.
I wear it everywhere - from casually around town to backcountry skiing - and I almost always wish it was warmer. For an 800 fill down coat, I am surprised by the lack of warmth. From the product description and reviews, I thought it would be A LOT warmer, so I thought I'd let you all know that I was disappointed. After one year of heavy use, I am back on backcountry shopping for a new one.

    New Style Not Great

I have the 2014 version of this jacket in XS and LOVE it. They changed the style of the jacket this year, though and it doesn't fit the same at all. The arms are too short/armpits too tight even on the small. They also removed the pit zips. Very disappointed in the changes and had to return it :(

    As good as it gets

I've been on the hunt for a light weight yet super warm puffy for months. I love my Patagonia puffy but it's pretty bulky. I have tried so many jackets I've lost track, but none of them seemed to be the one. I decided to give this Flylow a try and I'm so glad I did. I love the color (coral), the fit is spot on (I'm 5'3 110#s and went with the small. Probably could have gone with an extra small but wanted the option to layer of needed), the weight and feel of the jacket is superb, and the over all functionality of this jack is amazing. The armpit vents are a great feature too. Looking forward to wearing this jacket everywhere.

I have bought every heavier down jacket on the market, thats under 200 dollars anyways. I have returned them all for some reason or another....often times things that were petty like color. I'm moving to AK for the summer, and its always cool where I will be. I bought this jacket in the coral color, which is superrrr awesome in person. It is quite a bit less bright and the color is less subdued than that on the website, which I was happy with since I didn't want a coat that drew a ton of attention. Anyways, all that aside. This jacket is like putting on a sleeping bag, its incredibly warm yet unbelievably thin and lightweight. It has drawcords around the waist to adjust to your hips, and it has pit zips will be great. One thing to know is that the neck is way higher than most other puffys, almost acting as a scarf. I am in love with this coat. Sorry for rambling, just wanted to help others buy this coat first rather than do what I did and get here last. I got a small and its very true to size. I am 5'1" and like things to fit a little longer and looser.

    Love it!

I absolutely love this jacket for alpine mountaineering. It's extremely lightweight and surprisingly warm. I am able to fit a waterproof shell over the top of it. The hood is large enough to accommodate a helmet underneath. The pit zips are also a unique feature that I have found myself using a lot. The outer material is not very durable though (mine ended up getting some small tears from scrambling across rock) so I use it exclusively for those days when I need to go light and fast. I'm also not sure how water resistant it is. It got pretty wet when I was out hiking through willows that were wet with dew early one morning.

    Classic Puffy

Good ol' quality puffy jacket right here. Keeps me uber warm as a layer under my shell jacket. Cute enough to wear around. The blue color is awesome!

Bonus to this puffy is it has pit zips, such a nice feature for a puffy.

I wear this in a size small so it fits well under my shell, but I could easily wear a medium in this jacket too. The puffy is a thicker puffy than let's say Patagonia's nano puffy, hence why I'd wear a size small to fit better under my shell jacket. I'm 5'5

    The Sleeping Bag Coat

I'm always cold. Even in July. Especially in January. So I wear a down sweater around all the time. In the house. In the backcountry. On camping trips. I used to swear by Patagonia's Down Sweater, which I liked because it was packable and yet still super warm. But it didn't have a hood, which was my only complaint. I love hoods. Flylow's Betty Down fixes that issue, and it's still super lightweight and package (you can definitely fit it in your backcountry pack on a tour). They say it's water resistant, but you probably still shouldn't wear it out in a rainstorm. It might get a little soggy. It's great as midlayer under a shell on a stormy day though. Or on its own around town, any month of the year in a mountain town.

I love winter camping, and once I got this coat this was added to my must bring list. It's perfect for the base camp area and it's so light you don't feel the extra weight when you skinning to the campsite.
