Why We Like The Five Ten Trailcross Clip-In Cycling Shoe

With the Five Ten Trailcross Clip-In Cycling Shoe, we don't have to sacrifice off-the-bike grip for on-bike control when we head out on the trail. When the trail gets tough or too steep, and we have to hike our bike, the Stealth Marathon rubber outsole adds ample grip, ensuring we're not slipping around on loose, rocky terrain. The 2-bolt cleat-compatible design gives us a highly efficient pedal stroke every time, while the EVA midsole helps soak up big drops and trail chatter.

Poor quality in cleat retaining hardware.

I bought two pairs, 12.5 for summer socks and 13 for thicker winter socks. In both pairs, I needed the provided spacer for the right fit, but the cleat would not tighten enough to keep the cleat from turning in the pedal. I continued to tighten the cleats to get a good fit, but the threads in the both shoes stripped before sufficient tightness was achieved. I'm disappointed, because they are great looking shoes that fit well and were comfortable to walk in.

Great summertime shoe!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m using these for everyday riding. They are light weight and very breathable, perfect for the heat in summertime. They are also very comfortable to walk in.

Rugged and versatile

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had another brand and the soft soles were literally ground to nothingness from the sand and rough terrain of the Arizona desert. These look like they will hold up for a long time.

I've used it several times

Comfortable shoe that promotes a quick clip in and out while being stable.Run slightly narrow.

Connected fit with a roomy toebox

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first pair of clipless shoes (Gravel mostly) and I really like the fit. The show is relatively easy to walk in while remaining stiff so power isn't wasted. The toe box is very roomy which I love!

Good mtb shoes, good price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Looks good, fits well and was on sale. I ordered 10 1/2 but was too because they are sized smaller than specialized shoes but I think the size is accurate ✅ ✅ ✅

Great concept. Lacks comfort.

I really want to give these shoes 5 stars because they’re exactly what I’ve been wanting, but just fall a little short. I ride a mtb and indoor spin bike. I’ve always just used regular tennis shoes with cages on my spin bike, but then I came across these and gave them a try. The shoes are definitely not as comfortable as I would like. For starters, the toe box is extremely narrow and my toes feel smushed. The overall width of the shoe is also quite narrow. I’ve always worn a standard width shoe no problem, but these make me feel like maybe I should have bought the wide. The soles feel rigid and not very comfortable. I’m hoping that’ll change after I break them in. Also, the tongue… somehow it keeps getting folded or pinched and puts pressure on my foot when I tie the laces. I’ve had these for a few weeks now and it’s getting better but I can’t seem to find a good enough lace tension that doesn’t put unnecessary pressure points on my foot. Lastly, the cleat backer plates stripped on me twice. I used grease on the bolts because I knew I’d have to tighten them down pretty tight to prevent them from spinning when I unclip. As I was progressively tightening them, I pulled a thread in the backer plate. I flipped it around and somehow did it again. I wound up using the plates that came with the cleats and they worked just fine. Again, I really do like the concept of these shoes and I plan to continue using them. I just wish they were a bit more comfortable to wear. Hopefully they’ll break in and I’ll get what I’m looking for.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Stiffer than expected after riding the regular trail cross for so long, but perfect for clip less. Definitely a lot more comfortable overall than my old standard clip less MTB shoes.

Very Good product at a great discounted price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have wide feet and was looking for a stylish yet comfortable fit for me and these shoes did fit wider than my Gyro's yet snug enough so my feet do not slip or slide within the shoes and feel great with no pain. These shoes solved my issues. Great product.
