Welcome to the fly fishing fold.

You've spent hours throwing every spinner and lure you own across the nose of every fish in the river without so much as bite. Meanwhile, that fly fisherman just around the bend has a fish on every time you look up, and then proceeds to turn them loose like some kind of lunatic! It's experiences like these that will make you consider hanging up your spinning rod for good and succumb to a fate of weekends spent working on a honey-do list and trying to sneak beers and football games between chores and dinner dates with the neighbors down the street. But wait! There's a better way—get yourself the Fenwick Aetos Fly Rod and figure out what this whole fly fishing thing is all about and start catching some fish of your own.

Fenwick's Aetos Fly Rod is an entry-level rod geared towards the angler that probably has too many hobbies as it is. Its affordable price tag and solid componentry will give you everything you need to perfect your casting technique, pin down your roll cast, and wrangle that first fish you hook into. Its graphite blank gives the Aetos a fast action feel, while the AAA grade cork handle has a great casting motion. The anodized aluminum reel seat is built to take some abuse, and the rod comes with a cloth and rod tube, so you won't have to worry about breaking your rod when you throw it in the back of your truck when you head out to spend the afternoon on the river.

I want my own now!!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought this rod in a 6wt as an upgrade for my wife. Don’t tell her but I’ve fished with it while she was at work a few times. Guess I’m going to have to get a few for my self. For what the rod cost and the way they cast I’m looking at getting another 6wt for trout and a 8wt for steelhead. Maybe one in the switch model too.

On Point

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The 9', 5wt Aetos rod casts just as well as most $800 rod on the market. I have never casted a better rod at this price point. It will turn over larger flies and also delicately lay down dries. Very versatile rod. Everyone should have one in their arsenal.

Cant go wrong!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought this rod for my girlfriend....Then I casted it! This rod is insane, so much better than many of the rods I have in my quiver that cost hundreds more. Super accurate casts, great line speed yet just enough to push through a breeze. Fenwick did something right here, can't wait to try other rods in the line!

Unanswered Question

Will you guys price match -- as this price is too much @ 299.00 -- should be around $150 at the most... do a quick Amazon search etc... and then will you give me the 20% off ??
