Speed Vario 2.0 Ski Poles

The Vario 2 locking mechanism is an advanced system that allows you to securely lock your adjustable poles at your desired length. This ensures that the poles stay in place during your activities, whether skiing or hiking. The "2" indicates that this is a second-generation design, which typically means it has enhancements over the original version, such as improved durability and ease of use.

"2K" refers to the use of two different materials in the construction of the grip and baskets. This design combines the advantages of each material, such as enhanced grip for better control and increased durability for longer-lasting performance. This means you can enjoy a more comfortable and reliable experience while using your poles.

An EVA grip, made from ethylene-vinyl acetate foam, provides a comfortable and non-slip surface for your hands. This is especially important during activities like skiing or hiking, where a secure grip can enhance your control and reduce hand fatigue. The cushioning effect of EVA also helps absorb shock, making your experience more enjoyable.

A powder basket is a wider, circular component at the bottom of a ski pole, specifically designed for use in soft, powdery snow. Its larger surface area helps prevent the pole from sinking too deeply into the snow, providing better stability and easier movement. If you plan to ski or hike in powder conditions, using a powder basket is essential for optimal performance.

The claimed weight of the poles is the weight stated by the manufacturer, which is crucial for activities like skiing or hiking. Lighter gear can significantly enhance your performance and reduce fatigue, allowing you to enjoy your adventure longer. However, keep in mind that "claimed" means this weight hasn't been independently verified, so it's good to consider user reviews and experiences as well.

Absolutely! The materials used in the construction of the poles, such as those indicated by the "2K" designation or the EVA grip, can greatly influence your performance. High-quality materials can enhance grip, reduce weight, and improve durability, all of which contribute to a more enjoyable and efficient experience while skiing or hiking. Choosing poles with the right materials tailored to your needs can make a significant difference in your outdoor activities.
