I've had a number of these socks over the years and they are the best. Yes, they are wool but they are cooler than all of the cotton and synthetics I've tried. And they don't seem to wear out. I usually just replace them after loose one or put a rip in one mountain biking. I also like that they aren't tall like current fashion seems to demand. Seriously, why do you want to cover more of your leg on a hot day? Nor are they those brightly-colored socks that a clown would have been embarrassed to wear just a few years ago (and that you'll deny that you wore just a few years from now). Try a pair, you'll love them.

I've tried socks from lots of brands but these are the best I've ever used. Don't let the fact that they are wool discourage you from using them in the summer. I use these all summer long in hot, humid Maryland and they work so much better than other materials. I also like this shorter cuff instead of the trendy tall socks that people are currently wearing. (Why would people want more of their skin covered on hot days?) I use them for road riding, MTBing and occasionally as just summer socks. And they never seem to wear out. I wear a size 44 shoe but find that the size L works best even though I can fit a medium. Buy a pair, you'll find yourself returning to buy more.
