Cinch Mitten

Your winter involves a little bit of everythingpark laps, backcountry missions, epic powder days—so why not get yourself a mitten that's up to the challenge of just about any day in the mountains with the Crab Grab Cinch Mitten. Well-rounded enough to handle any winter conditions or style of riding, this mitten is outfitted with a waterproof membrane to keep your hands protected from frigid moisture, while lightweight yet thermally-efficient PrimaLoft insulation works to keep your those fingers toasty and warm on cold dawn-patrol starts. On the inside you've got a heavier Sherpa fleece lining that gives you more warmth where you need it most, with a lighter brushed tricot lining at the palm to keep your dexterity and grip intact. Meanwhile, the cinchable gauntlet is able to fit both under and over your jacket sleeve to keep snow out whichever way you please, and a hang loop at the top of the mitt allows you to clip it onto your backpack as you skin up mountain ridgelines with just your liners on.

Great for warm winter weather

I've used it several times
Runs small

I love the candy corn colors and moisture never soaked through. However, there are a few flaws. The elastics that connect to your jacket sleeves are very handy to avoid losing mittens, especially if you are wearing liners and can easily forget. There's a plastic bead at the end of the elastic that makes the length adjustable. This would have been nice if the length you adjust to actually stayed put. I don't mind mittens dangling far from my sleeves when I'm using my phone or adjusting a hood, but this is very problematic if your using a toilet or adjusting any backpack straps. The elastics are too darn long! I almost dipped my mittens in a toilet countless times. Another issue is sizing. I have very small hands and the medium barely fit over my liners. They worked fine, but I should have sized up. These are definitely not for very cold weather. Anything under 10 degrees F and my hands are painfully cold (unless I'm working really hard). I'll continue to use them, but also looking for a warmer mitten.
