The Columbia Boys' Lightning Lift Jacket feels best on winter's brisk days whether he's on a chairlift or at the playground. FarenHot insulation keeps him toasty even if it gets wet, and the HC 3000 shell protects him in case the weather worsens.
- HC 3000 shell
- FarenHot insulation
- Adjustable hood and cuffs
- Zippered chest and hand pockets
- Item #COL00FG
- Q & A
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: True to size
My seven year old son's previous coat became too small so in a crunch, we tried out this website to order a coat. I received it and within the second time of him wearing it, the zipper split. When attempting to exchange the product, I was informed that I had to either send the faulty coat back and then wait for the replacement (leaving him without a coat for days), or purchase a new coat and then send the faulty one back and wait approximately two weeks to receive my money back. With neither being an option and with no better option presented to me, I have decided to purchase a new coat elsewhere and just receive my money back for this faulty coat. The customer service rep offered to help me find a "more durable option" stating that Columbia offers the best discounts, however, they do not offer the best quality. Not exactly what you want to hear on your first time purchasing from this site.
Good Jacket But Runs Narrow
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
- Fit: Runs small
- Size Bought: Medium
- Weight: 80lbs
I bought this coat for my son as an early birthday present before we got snow. It's well made and looks very warm, like all Columbia coats we've owned. The only thing is that the torso runs much narrower than other Columbia coats I have purchased for him. So even though the sleeves are long enough, I am returning for the next size up so that hopefully it will fit next winter too.
Great Jacket For The Youngsters!
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
- Fit: True to size
I grabbed a couple of these for my nephews who were visiting here in Utah for Christmas. They needed something extra warm as they are used to the warm winters down in Phoenix. The 240 grams of synthetic insulation pulled through. They played in the snow frequently and never seemed to get too cold!
Are these coats good for the Minnesota cold weather. I see the news anchors wear these coats and jackets just so Curious on any pictures unzip the coats for display that would be very nice
This jacket should keep an active boy warm on cold winter days. 240g of insulation is considered a heavy winter coat. The Omni Shield outer fabric will keep wet snow from penetrating.
So you think i should order xl coats for my boys hat are those sizes
I would recommend ordering their true size. Let me know if they don't fit and I would be happy to facilitate an exchange
