Women's Yellow Snowboard Jackets

Think about the conditions you'll ride most: hardshells with 2L or 3L laminates (like GORE-TEX 3L) are best for variable weather and layering, while insulated jackets with synthetic Stratus fill deliver targeted warmth for cold, wet resort days. 3-in-1 systems let you swap a removable liner for a wide temperature range, and softshells favor stretch and breathability for high-output park or spring laps.

Try jackets with articulated sleeves and ergonomic patterning so you get full range of motion without bulk, and note that sizing generally runs true-to-size. Check for helmet-compatible hoods, wired peaks, stretch cuffs, adjustable hems, and powder skirts—models like the Trew Astoria and Burton athletic cuts emphasize form-fitting, helmet-ready geometry.

If you ride in heavy, wet snow, look for a 20K+ waterproof rating and fully seam-taped laminates; GORE-TEX 3L and similar membranes offer premium weatherproofing and high breathability. Durable face fabrics like 20-denier recycled ripstop nylon with DWR plus YKK AquaGuard zips help keep moisture out while still allowing sweat to vent.

Touring-focused shells are built for lightweight durability and breathability so you can skin comfortably; features like 3L laminates, high breathability ratings, and helmet-compatible hoods matter on long approaches. The Burton AK Kalausi GORE-TEX 3L is an example of a touring-capable shell that balances weatherproofing with mobility.

A powder skirt combined with cinch drawcords, stretch cuffs, and an adjustable hem forms the primary seal against snow intrusion, while water-resistant zips and internal mesh pockets add function. For on-mountain utility, pocket-rich anoraks like the Volcom Brighton Pullover offer extra storage without sacrificing a clean, non-bulky profile.
