Infant Blue Jackets

For mild cool weather, a fleece jacket with a soft polyester lining works well for everyday outdoor play and breathability. For cold snow, insulated options like down or synthetic fills (80g–200g or 700-fill down in models like the Patagonia Down Sweater Bunting) provide the extra warmth needed.

Size for a roomy cut that leaves space for a onesie or diaper, and check the jacket geometry so the hood stays on active babies. Grow cuffs and the available sizes from 0–6 months to 3T help extend wear as your child grows.

Look for rain shells with waterproof ratings up to 10,000mm and breathability around 5,000 g/m²/24hrs to stay dry in heavy showers without trapping moisture. Taped seams and nylon or polyester shells add extra protection in wet, windy conditions.

Synthetic insulation keeps loft and some warmth when wet, making it a good pick for active, snowy days, while down with fill powers of 600–800 (and 700-fill in the Patagonia Down Sweater Bunting) offers a superior warmth-to-weight ratio in dry cold. The North Face Denali Fleece and insulated synthetic jackets are sensible choices when durability and moisture resistance matter.

Magnetic closures, reinforced elbows, and grow cuffs speed up dressing and hold up to crawls and tumbles. Adjustable hoods, taped seams on rain shells, and abrasion-resistant Polartec fleece like The North Face Denali add weather protection and long-lasting wear.
