Girls' Purple Hike & Camp Tops & Sweatshirts

Think about activity and temperature: lightweight polyester blends wick moisture and dry quickly for active spring–fall hikes, while midweight fleece (around 60g) is better for 10–15°C mornings. Layer a performance tee under a sweatshirt for versatility when temps change.

Begin with their usual age-size and consider chest measurements; youth sizing runs from XS (sizes 6-7) to XL (sizes 16-18). Choose regular or relaxed geometries with adjustable hems and drop tails to keep coverage as they move.

Yes. Select tops carry UPF 50+ sun protection and models like the Helly Hansen Daybreaker offer seamless construction with UPF 40+, which helps reduce sun exposure on sunny hikes. Pair sun-protective fabrics with venting for hot conditions.

Raglan sleeves and 4-way stretch fabrics improve freedom of movement during climbs and play. Flatlock seams reduce chafing, reinforced shoulders handle pack straps, and thumbholes on long sleeves help keep sleeves in place.

For chilly mornings, a midweight sweatshirt or hoodie with about 60g fleece offers good warmth-to-weight for 10–15°C conditions. The North Face Hedgehog hoodie uses 100% recycled polyester and an ergonomic fit for layering, while French terry cotton-poly pullovers provide softer campsite comfort.
