Purple Balaclavas & Neck Gaiters

Balaclavas offer fuller coverage for cold winter sports since they protect the head, face, and neck, which helps in strong wind and snow. Models like the TrailHeads balaclava with a hinge design or a 250-gram polyester fleece gaiter provide extra warmth while still fitting under helmets.

Most gaiters are one-size-fits-most tubes with stretch that pull up easily without adding bulk under a helmet. Elastic or self-material binding and seamless geometry help keep coverage secure and low-profile during cycling or climbing.

Yes. The MCR Safety BLCVTCN balaclava uses 5.5-ounce Westex TrueComfort fabric and meets NFPA CAT2 with an ATPV of 8.9 cal/cm2 for arc flash protection. This FR knit is designed to retain its protective properties for the garment's life, making it appropriate for high-risk jobs.

Cooling gaiters are made for hot-weather running and hiking, using ultra-soft moisture-wicking polyester to manage sweat while shielding skin from sun and wind. Their lightweight, tube-shaped design lets you pull them up over your nose or wear them as a headband without feeling restrictive.

Heavier polyester fleeces, like 250-gram constructions, trap more heat and resist pilling for cold conditions while still stretching for mobility. Reflective elastic binding improves low-light visibility, and options such as neoprene or acrylic add extra water resistance in wet snow or sleet.
